1984 VW VANAGON GL 1.9L AUTO TRANS Up for auction is a beautiful VW VANAGON GL. This VW is ready to be driven and looks great. Hard to find a nicer Vanagon like this one. Powered by a 1.9 litre water-cooled 4 cylinder with an automatic transmission. It starts easy, idles nice, drives straight and stops as it should. It warms up quickly and temperature remains constant in the middle of the gauge. It's got front and rear heat and both work great. Shifts are quick and smooth, no slipping or jerking. It handles very well. The interior is in excellent conditon, unbelievable for a 28 year old van. No cracks or chips in the glass and windows work like they should. Check out the pics, the VW was not detailed before the listing and a good wax would really bring out the shine. All lights and gauges work. Has recently had the exhaust system completely redone and a new O2 sensor. Tires have excellent rubber. The underside of the Vanagon is exceptional. This car is truly an exceptional survivor but it has some minor issues. It has some body flaws as seen in the pics but overall the finish is still very sharp. The paint on the roof is thin in spots. The van has a huge sunroof, but the prior owner caulked it shut when it began leaking. It has an aftermarket stereo that plays CD's but it needs an antenna for the radio.. The sliding door is missing the exterior handle but works well from inside. The middle section seating is missing as shown in the photos. Don't miss out on a chance to buy a Vanagon!
