All major body work done and done right no mud stuck in rusty holes here! LOW $1800.00 RESERVE Located up in the mountains of northern california from a tip from his friend my husband picked up this old Chevy that was well rotted out in the backyard of an old hillbilly who originally wanted a mere $20 for the pickup, my husband feeling bad for the impoverished guy and his girlfriend gave them $100 for it as long as they let him empty out the bed of it onto their property (they had their own waste management hole in the ground) as they had been using the bed of it as their trash receptacle. Then promptly trailered it home to add to his collection of MANY other vehicles. Well this one he actually got pretty serious with and over the course of about 5 years he and the assistance of some pros have slowly brought this old beast back from the grave with countless hours and he wont even give me an exact amount but i finally got it out of him because we needed the info for this ad, well over $4000 into her with parts material and subbing some body work. this does not include all his hundreds of personal hours which he even kept logs of every time he worked on it. Well as you can see its not 100% done but we contemplated painting the truck or selling as is so the new owner could pick their own color to really have the truck of their dreams... Obviously we chose the latter. Oh why did he decide to sell it ?..well we are having to start liquidating goods in order to keep up financially a story that im sure is not to unusual these days. ............SO HERE IT IS READY FOR A NEW HOME ! Truck is running great with a fresh 30 over 1986-1993 350 camaro engine with edlebrock 4 bbl carb, pro comp headers with flow master exhaust. transmission is a good granny gear 4 speed top loader sm 420. rear end is stock, truck has manual brakes are all new and all wheel cylinders are rebuilt, master cylinder is new. Manual steering box is not rebuilt. This was a fleet type truck with no options and has rare radio delete and heater delete plates on the dash with only one sun visor (needs upholstery) stock. Although there was no stock heater an aftermarket unit was installed still in place but not working. As for the rest of the interior it was stripped down to bare metal and repainted with rustoleum gray and black. The gas tank was replaced with a new sending unit, the seat was reupholstered and the long door felts installed. It still needs window felts installed and will be provided in the sale and are in the bag new. Aftermarket gauges installed. The only stock dash gage working is gas. Turn indicator needs new parts,no dash lights but dome light works and passenger wind wing is broken but still closes. New front windshield new hook and loop black carpet kit which does not fit perfect. So that's about it for the interior so onto the body WE HAVE A FULL PICTURE HISTORY OF ALL THE RESTORATION TO THIS TRUCK so all you need to do is e mail us and we will be glad to show you the evolution of this restoration in pictures. All rusted panels professionally cut out and new panels welded back in the hood front fenders the drivers quarter has a patch panel as well that is 1/2 the quarter. The rear quarter panel seems and the hood seems that are on these trucks have been welded up as well as the C20 and chevy bowtie emblem holes. The grill bumpers, wheels, door handles and engine compartment are sprayed in semi gloss rustoleum. The whole truck was stripped down to the metal before priming (with the exception of the sheet metal between the bed and the cab and some small areas on doors and front fenders) the bed wood was replaced and then coated with a heavy duty bed liner. ORIGINAL BLACK LICENCE PLATE S . Tires have some tread but are pretty old. So that's about it we tried to divulge all pros and cons if you have any other questions please feel free to e-mail me. Oh yes one other thing in my notes is although the engine and heads were rebuilt the carburetor was used and not rebuilt resulting in some smoke sometimes and although it runs an idles fine my husband thinks it may need re-jetting or a fuel pressure regulator or rebuilding (recommended) could be any of these anyway hes been driving it that way for months now Just around the neighborhood and property as the truck is not registered the back fees are only around $158. .............Remember to ask us if you want to see more pictures of the restoration!
