stcloudpicker store Description 1957 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL MKII This is a rare 1957 Lincoln Continental Mark II. Easy restore all glass is good, but 2 windows not working. Front seat will need to be recovered. Dash is in good shape "no cracks". All four hubcaps like new! No rust, will need a paint job. The interior carpet should be replaced, trunk carpet looks good with original jack! Car has air-conditioning but will need Freon. All chrome and stainless looks good. Engine and transmission in good shape. The car is in good shape for its age. This is your chance to own one of Detroits most expensive cars from an era passed by. Each one of the "Rat Pack" owned one of these cars, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin. The Mark II sold for nearly $10,000 New in 1957. That was the equivalent of a new Rolls Royce or two Cadillacs. This car is Extremely rare because they only made 3,000 of the cars between 1955,1956 and 1957. In 1956 Ford was the first ever Automobile Manufacturer to go public. Unfortunately the share holders did not like that the company was losing nearly $1,000 dollars a copy on the Mark II. Do to the large loses the mark II line was canceled in 1957 never to be sold again!
