Vehicle Detail
1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible Sold New in the San Jose, California area and owned for many years by the same family. As you can see, the original black California plates are on the car. The ODOMETER reads 07016. I am sure this is not an original 7016 mile car, it must have recently rolled over from 99999. Actual miles are probably 107016. The Lincoln is a pleasure to drive. The 462 C.I. engine runs smooth and quiet. Recently the car was taken to a Classic Car Service Center where it was checked over for condition and some necessary repairs including the installation of a new steering centerlink were completed. The trim is very nice. Body solid and NO rust or damage history make this a fine example of these great cars. The interior shows very well, excellent original carpets, extremely nice door panels and other interior finish items are very good. The front seat leather shows age and has a split seam on the driver side bottom. The top panel of the rear seat has a split. Notice the excellent condition of the window switches. And of course all the windows including the power wing windows work fine. As you can see in the photos, the top needs to be replaced. There is a NEW top included, but not installed that comes with the car. The power top is fussy, I advise that with the installation of the new top, the entire system be serviced and adjusted. This can be done as a separate part of the sale of the car. I can send it out for this work prior to delivery or I can just deliver the car with the new top in the box, not installed. These cars are wonderful and elegant. This one is in very good original condition. The April 2012 Price Guide suggests #4 condition as 10,000 and #3 condition as 22,500. I am very confident that the condition and value of this Lincoln is within those guidelines. I will sell this Lincoln to anywhere in the world. Payment by wire is the absolute best.On Feb-14-12 at 13:10:40 PST, seller added the following information: I have a video I can show you. It includes a walk-around and road test. Thanks For Looking at the Lincoln!
