For sale, our 2001 Ford 4wd V6 4.0L Explorer Sport, extremely clean and well cared for. This was my parents vehicle they purchased new in ’01. They used the Explorer to commute between Illinois and North Carolina. The mileage is all highway driven. The title was transferred to me last year and I put on ~5,000 miles and it was the first time it was driven in the winter. This is one of the cleanest ’01 Explorers I have seen, EVERYTHING works as it should. Less than 3,000 miles ago I replaced the front/rear brake rotors/pads and installed new Goodyear tires($800). Less than 23,000 miles ago the Explorer had a major tune-up that included spark plugs wires/injector cleaning/new filters, etc.($600). There are no rust issues, the only issue with the body is a small ding on the divers side quarter panel, no tears in the seats, no leaks, does not burn oil, fires right up, and runs great. I would drive anywhere and it is great in the snow. Having the ability to switch between 2wd and 4wd is a huge plus. I am selling because the Explorer is not practical for our family, we have 3 young children and there are only 2 seat belts in the second row...
