Vehicle Detail

This car is a 1949 Plymouth 3 window business coupe. A great alternative to the typical Ford or Chevrolet. This hot rod has a 1978 Malibu chassis as well as the complete suspension. The car sits low without bags and yet retains full suspension travel due to the body being channeled over frame. The car drives beautifully. The top is chopped 3.5 inches, with vent windows retained, and the car is three inches shorter than oem from the doors back, taking away some of the "too long in the rear look". Car has frenched headlights, led tailights, door handles removed, etc. Car has electric door solenoids. The engine is a recently rebuilt and fresh 350 chevrolet with a mild cam, aluminum intake, edelbrock carb, ceramic coated headers, flow masters and aluminized exhaust. There is lots of new chrome on the engine incuding the alternator, water pump, pullys, valve covers, air cleaner, etc. The 350 trans, also fresh, has a 2000 stall and a shift kit that is operated by a Ginnie 23 inch shifter. The rear is a 3:73 posi. There is a new aluminum radiator. Also the American mags are new with great tires. The performance is very snappy; the car doesn't weigh what you might think. The interior is complete and fresh with the exception of needing a headliner. In the photos the window trim is not installed but are already chopped and will be in within the next day or so. The new gauges are Dolphin and the instrument panel is engine turned and made by owner. There is new carpet and dynamat material on the floor. The body work is complete and currently has a couple of coats of basecoat without clear giving it a matte finish. Probably a days work of block sanding would have it ready for a first class paint job. I enjoy driving as is without worry of parking dings so much (drive me crazy on new paint). I am selling to help finish my 36 Ford project. Car was always meant to be my driver until 36 is finished. I have enjoyed driving the car over the last year or so and have some regrets on selling it.
