Vehicle Detail
OK. Hello out there. Here is a 1964 Honda Superhawk CB-77 Cafe Racer. CEAR TITLE. CB77-1030617 clearly stamped on frame headstock and CB77E-1031110 clearly stamped on engine. Original bike that is a time capsule for sure. This bike is very respectable. Currently, it is not running, however, the engine does turn over and the gears feel like they shift just fine. The original steering dampner is still intact and works well. The bike was set up as a definite cafe racer with custom made foorpeg set up. See picture close up. Most of the bike is original. It does have the original air filters but right now they are not connected. I ordered the rubber boots and will connect when they arrive. I have a new clutch cable for it as well. Someone who is a Honda person and who appreciates these old Superhawks should have no trouble getting this bike running. I just do not have the time right now to do it or i would. It will need a new front brake cable too. My first bike was a 1964 Honda Superhawk when I turned 18. They were very bullet proof bikes and make excellent cafe bikes when restored. Here is your opportunity to own a piece of history and either get it running as it is, or, restore it back to stock, your choice. On Feb-07-12 at 13:47:12 PST, seller added the following information: The bike is a 1965 not a 1964. Also, I have the original speedometer, no glass in it. comes with the bike. On Feb-07-12 at 14:07:10 PST, seller added the following information: Lots of people are asking lots of questions so I'll try my best to answer them to the best of my knowledge. As far as i can see, the bike will probably need a battery, plugs(always a good idea), maybe points, condenser----i.e.tune up, maybe reconnect a couple of wires, not sure. it looks like the wiring is all here but I see a couple of wires disconnected under the seat, and the tail light needs connected up. The gas tank does not smell. Looks like it was drained before the bike was put away. it has a little bit of surface rust spotting but nothing bad...probably a good flush out would be fine. need to connect new fuel line hoses. also, took carbs apart and cleaned them real good. they weren't bad. i hope this helps. hey, it's a honda superhawk. rare bikes. thanks for your interest!!!
