Vehicle Detail
I have had this car since 1969. I have decided it is time for someone else to own it. I no longer have the time, energy, or money to work on it. It has spent the last 25+ years in my basement and has been driven very little. I will do my best to describe it,but if you have any questions please feel free to ask. The exterior body is all original ( except for the bumpers and front gravel shield ) , with only a few minor dent repairs over the years. The paint was done many year ago and is not in good shape. The interior carpet has been replaced and the dash has an aftermarket overlay on it. The latch that locks the rear seat in the up position is missing and the driver door weatherstrip is missing. I do have a complete weatherstrip kit that goes with the car also new fuel tank and sending unit. The odometer reading is not correct because the speedometer does not work ( cable I think ).It has the original radio that still works. The seat belts are not in it but I do have new ones for it. The car was undercoated when I got it so I think the floor pan is very solid. I'm sure there is a little rust on the underside of the car but not a lot. Most of what you can see in the pictures is dirty undercoating. The engine is a 260 out of a 1964 Fairlane. I was told it was bored 60 over. It has headers, a medium lift cam, Edelbrock intake and carb.(very strong) I have the block that was in the car when I got it and the 4spd. trans was also in it when I got it. I have to assume they are factory and matching numbers to the car. There is no title for this car because Alabama did not require vehicle titles until 1975. The sale will be by Bill of Sale only. I will accept only a certified cashiers check or cash in person for payment. No money orders.
