Please Read Before Bidding - Serious Bidders Only - Vehicle Sold As Is This has been a very dependable Chevy Metro for our family through the years. However we are downsizing and my wife decided instead to just keep the smaller hatchback for daily commuting. I would encourage anyone considering this car to test drive it prior to bidding if that is at all possible. Visitors are welcome anytime as I am retired. If the buyer is travelling via MSP airport a local shuttle service is recommended (see Land to Air Express). We would be glad to provide transport from Mankato, mileage is appreciated. The Bad Muffler has developed a tiny hole in it. It takes a Walker Exhaust SoundFX Muffler Part #18366, which cost $54.99 and is simple to install. A small amount of touch-up paint where the paint is slightly discolored around the rocker panels and rear wheel wells would improve the overall appearance. Air conditioning does need recharging. The Good Drives well on the road and handles very responsively (see video). Has been reliable for long trips. Fuel efficient at 26 city and 31 hwy mpg. Has clear state title with current license plate and tabs. 141,695 original miles. Chevrolet Metro is a rebadged Geo Metro. Sedan body style with LSi trim. Power steering and automatic transmission. Easy to maintain 1.3L 4-cylinder engine by Suzuki Motors of Japan. Engine and compartment are clean. Excellent heater and defroster, complete with rear window grid. Dual airbags, AM/FM radio and air conditioning. Child protection windows and locks on rear doors. Reinforced door panels for side impact. A-frame intact and enclosed (see photo). Front and rear stabilizer bar mounts are solid and secure (see photo). Front and rear bumpers are in great condition. Overall excellent body with only minor scratches. Very little rust for an Upper Midwest car of this vintage. Daytime driving lights for greater safety. All lights, signals, hazard, dash and dome lights work. All the glass is in excellent condition. The windshield has UV tint across the top. Non-smoker vehicle with clean interior. Rear seat folds down to give greater carrying capacity. Standard 13" tires. 13" emergency spare which has never been used, includes jack and lug wrench. Alternator works well. Starter engages and disengages properly. Great stuts and rear shocks. Nice brakes from front to back. Starts up cold and the engine sounds good (see video, temp was 3°F that day). A code reader can be used on this model. New timing belt was installed at 126,500 miles, estimated to last up to 70,000 miles. Oil and oil filter changed routinely every 2,500 miles. There are two master keys and four duplicate keys. Always stored inside a garage. Washed and waxed regularly.
