1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Two Door Hardtop Not easy to find one of these cars! Here is your chance. This is a California Black Plate Black Car with the 332 FE dual exhaust 4 barrel engine. It has a band new 2 1/4 inch dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The engine runs GREAT and sounds real nice. The car was sitting inside a storage building with a collection of other interesting cars when I took a buddy back in 2006 to see another car that was For Sale there. We both saw this 58 Fairlane and decided that was the better car to GRAB. We drove it out in the sunlight and on the trailer and home we went. His father in law is a body man and the two of them have done some nice cars at home in the garage. This one was to be a keeper. They pulled all the trim, interior and started working on the car. New floor pans, rear lower 1/4s and rockers were bought from Dennis Carpenter. The seats were sent out for a fresh black tuck and roll job. And the guys went to work welding in all the new panels. But then came a family matter that ended the project and it sat unfinished for a few years. I got a call to help put all the parts back on the car and get it together to sell. Here it is ready to find a new home. The trim is all there, but left a bit loose so you can remove it for final finish work and paint. Or just go back and tighten it all up and drive the car like it is. YES! I do have many more photos I can send, just email me and ask. I also have a video to show it running. The brakes should be checked out, after all it has been sitting for a long time. The original radio works. It starts every time.. I have the clear California title ready to go. The car is in “Planned Non-Op Status” With California DMV. It is very easy to activate the registration if you plan to keep it in California and begin driving soon.
