Vehicle Detail
Up for auction we have a 1965 Ford Galaxie LTD 4 door hardtop no post. Car has a 390 motor 4 bbl and cruise o matic transmission, Car has just had a ton of work put into it. This car was a well optioned car in its day with a/c and power brakes. Car spent most of its life in South Carolina. Car has a solid frame. Car has dual exhaust with h-pipe and performance mufflers. Please read WHOLE ad to read the good and the bad. Car is sold as is, a $100 dollar deposit is due thru paypal within 48 hours of auctions close balance to be paid by cash only. Will not ship...US bidders only. DO NOT bid if you don't intend to buy this car. The good: Car has just had over $2500 of work completed on it less than 100 miles ago. -completely rebuilt valve train on both heads -New Gas tank and sending unit (tank costed over $500 alone for this car, new tanks for 65 galaxies are very expensive and hard to find) -new oil pump, oil pan cleaned out as well -new brake booster and master cyl, -2 new shocks -New control arm bushings -Some new break lines -4 brand new tires -New gaskets on engine The Bad: -After completion of the top end rebuild of the engine the mechanic found that the bottom end of engine needs work (crankshaft is making a bad noise) therefore now the bottom end of engine needs rebuilding, crankshaft repair and new main bearings needed. The car will run and yard drive but the mechanics urged me NOT to take it on the road until crankshaft and main bearings are fixed. -There is a dent in the right rear door and quarter panel...but I have a nearly rust free southern door shell from the south and a reproduction quarter panel section...Those are both available for and extra $50 dollars each. Some spots in the floors were patched with sheet metal by previous owner. Outside from the engine bottom end problem this car is in decent mechanical condition, a lot of work has been done, would make a nice project car or a great parts car. This Car is sold as is with no guarentees or warenttees. I just don't have the money for the bottom end engine work and a move forces me to sell this car. Transmission shifted great when the car was driven before the bottom end problem. Brakes are good. I have the massachusetts title that came with the car and the bill of sale from the dealer I bought this car from. I have tried to list this car to the best of my knowledge, car could also use a new lower radiator hose. Any questions just ask.
