Vehicle Detail

Stored inside for over 36 years, No rust anywhere. 90% orginal paint. (L-rear fender was repainted years ago) 70,205 orginal miles. Has a few factory options, venting rear windows, and Chrome trim. Runs and drives, everything works. New carb. new wheels ( orginal wheels and tires are included) Engine starts perfect, with no smoke, idles smooth, Trans. shifts well, clutch is good. Brakes straight. Body has a few imperfections, small stone chips in the front, small hail dents in the hood. Small dent in the passanger door, and where the L-rear fender was repainted, the paint has pealed in a few spots. All this is minor enough that it would not show in the pics, and not really visible from 10ft away. The undercarriage is all orginal and has not been touched up in anyway. What you see in the pics is what the car looked like in 1967, nothing changed. The most desirable year Bug to own, and probably the only surviving orginal car in the country. Restore to perfect, or drive as is and really impress everyone. $1000 deposite upon auction close, and remainder by cash at pick-up, or wire transfer if shipped. Contact me for a auto transport quote, to the east coast it could be as little as $1100 to your door. Please note the very low production # 000458 the 458th car off the line for the special 1967 year. Here are a few things I have been told that makes 1967 the year to own. First year of the 1500cc engine, last year for the low back seats, last year of the bumper type, and for the Other changes for 1967 included backup lights, the parking lamps became part of the turn signals, and the glass headlamp covers were no longer installed. The doors were lockable, two-speed windshield wipers were added, and a 12-volt electrical system was installed. The car was stored in a climate controled garage, and that kept all the orginal rubbers and plastics on the car in great shape. (like the door seals) The orginal paint is still has its shine. The orginal chrome is like new. Even has the original exhaust system. When bidding, remember that you might not have another chance on buying a Bug in this condition again, so good luck, this car is going to sell the the highest bidder regardless of the price. I will work with the buyer with the shipping. Moving cars is the easy part.
