For bids is a 1954 GMC 350 1.5 ton truck. 302 cubic inch engine has been completely rebuilt using all new old stock parts except for the connecting rods. It is a .030 overbore and crankshaft has been ground .010/.010. The connecting rods were fabricated by Murphys Motor Service in MO. They are 6160 forged steel and will stand revs beyond 5000 rpm. Engine has amazing power. Transmission has been completely rebuilt as have the brakes and wheel cylinders. The wheel cylinders were rebuilt by White Post Restorations in VA. they were bored and fitted with brass sleeves and are good for a lifetime. Master cylinder is new. Brake shoes were relined by White Post Restorations also. Wheels were sandblasted and painted rustoleum and new tubes and tires were installed. Radiator has been hot tanked, cleaned and is as good as new. This truck has a new old stock tach drive distributor and i will include a matching set of gauge clusters that were professionally restored by Bobs speedometer shop in OH. Tach is a cable drive and works off the distributor, this is a very rare option. Truck also features a dump bed and has a new PTO driveshaft. EVERYTHING mechanical on this truck has been restored to like new will last a lifetime. If your serious about old GMC's then you know what your looking at here. You may never find another on like this. I installed a rochester 2g carb because they run so much better but i still have the old teapot holley if you need it.. Thanks for looking.
