1998 Honda Super Hawk

I'm selling Jessica, my 1998 VTR1000 Superhawk (named after the True Blood character). Honda designed and built the VTR/RVT to dethrone Ducati in the WSB. They succeded. If you have never ridden a Vtwin sportbike, it is something else! The raw torque is amazing. It will pull from low RPM's in any gear, and keep going. It isn't like an inline 4, that requires many downshifts or shifting at redline. With the Two Brothers exhaust installed, the sound is AMAZING! One of my best mates has a Ducati 1098R (1198cc's), and I can keep up with him just fine (for $40,000 less). Insurance runs me $400/year full coverage, $72/year liability. It isn't like a CBR or a Ninja (gross), in the sense that 18 year old squids don't buy and wreck these! It has just under 30K miles on it. I have a clean and clear TX title in hand. I, personally, have never stunted or raced this bike. I cannot speak for the previous owner. The bike was on its side at some point, given the minor abrasions. Touch up paint was applied to all painted surfaces to the best of my knowledge. Every body part is in perfect working order. There are no fluid or vacuum leaks. The bike runs just fine, but a new chain wouldn't be a bad idea down the road. Here's what I know/what's included (for this auction, Factory refers to stock/OEM, NOT the aftermarket parts company) - Oil changed every 4 months with Repsol 4T 10-40 full synthetic racing oil. I've never hit a mileage oil change, as I've only averaged 300 miles a month riding. - Redline SuperCool coolant used. This does NOT have glycol, so it WILL freeze. The trade off is that it runs cooler, and will not be slippery should something fail. - Repsol DOT 4 brake fluid used in clutch and brake reservoirs. - New (less than 1500mi) Dunlap Q2's - Corbin saddle installed. It has a few nicks and scuffs. Stock saddle included with 2 small tears. - Factory exhaust installed. Two Brothers HighRise Slip-On exhaust will be included FOR FREE IF the bike sells for more than $2700, otherwise it can be purchased for $100. - Yuasa battery tender included. It is wired to the NEW (less than 1500mi) Yuasa battery. I also have the seperate aligator clips AND a 12v port (for cell charger/GPS) - Tinted windscreen. I think it is a Zero Gravity. - I had the license plate installed under the seat, and installed an LED license plate light underneath. Holes are included for factory installation. - Factory turn signals front and rear. - 2 original Honda keys that work fro both the ignition and underseat storage lock. It will be the buyer's responsibility to arrange and pay for the shipping. I will assist however I can. I have successfully sold (and shipped) a motorcycle on eBay before, so rest easy. While the bike is registered and insured through October, I am not going to ride it again. This decision is to ensure that this auction is 100% accurate. I am selling her to help finance my upcoming wedding and honeymoon. I will be buying a new bike afterwards. A $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required within 48hrs of auction end.
