Vehicle Detail
Well I hate to do this but time for a change. So up for bids is a 1930 Model A pickup old school inspired Hot Rod. Just about every thing is new on the truck. The frame is was constructed from ASC 32 Ford rails with a 1939 Ford X member. The entire running gear in this truck including the front axle and brakes are 39 Ford as well. The front axle has drilled lightening holes and sits out in front "suicide style" the frame horns have beeen bobbed in the front to allow this application. The brakes and wheel cylinders are new with only two seasons on them as are the tires and tubes. The wheels are 39 Ford wide fives and have been blasted primed and painted the trim rings are original Fords and do show their age but are decent enough for a driver which this truck is the tires are newer Firestone 4.75 x 16 in the front and 7.50 x 16 in the rear. The Cab has been chopped 5 inches and the original 32 Ford commercial grille has been chopped 4 inches. It has a 5 or 6 core radiator that was built at a custome radiator shop in NJ years ago but works great. The engine is a factory reman so I am not sure how many miles exactly are on it. It has a GM one wire alt. and currently runs on 12 volt system. On top the Flattie is an Edelbrock 2x2 set up running straight linkage attached to two rebuilt Holley 94's.Thranny is an older 3spd in which I am not sure the age. The shift rod is a brand new polished swan neck with a brand new V* logo shift knob off a 36 Ford. The instrument cluster is currently just in there and not connected because it is from a 60's Dodge truck and I have not been able to get an adapter yet for the old Ford trans. The Cab has new door skin on the passenger or drivers side I am not 100% sure which one but it is one of them. The above doors area is also brand new sheetmetal. The top has been filled but does have some light cracking in the body work because Again it has been driven and driven hard. The other reason is that the body has been mounted solid to the frame. which should have some rubber body mount in place. The box is a brand new brookville box and a brand new wood kit and tail gate. there is no side glass for the truck but I do have a set of brand new door regulator handles and door glass channels for it. The seat that is in the truck at the nmoment is from a Model A coupe and goes with it being I was not sure which way I was going with the interior. This truck has been to a few shows and is in a few Magazines like Canadian Hot Rod and Custom Cars from the UK. The shows this has been at has been the Syracuse NAtionals 2010 and 2011. The Rumblers Show Rumble in the city NYC. It is on you tube under joes pin up shoot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qWBqbZ_QBY syracuse nationals 2010 and the rumblers show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VQK0hCU4RUretty . The truck has had a hour and a half long photo shoot with Darrell Mayabb for a magazine feature. Please feel free to email questions regarding this item. ThanksOn Dec-29-11 at 12:22:04 PST, seller added the following information: Her is a link to it @ the Syracuse Drags http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F11pB2XGOE&feature=autoplay&list=UUHHqyVUoY8d84bnJ5UPSmCw&lf=plcp&playnext=1 On Dec-29-11 at 12:23:44 PST, seller added the following information: This is the link sorry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7nf2mYixcI&feature=relatedOn Jan-02-12 at 20:00:46 PST, seller added the following information: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=2845931394663#!/video/video.php?v=2845931394663 this is it running. Sorry but it was done on my cell phone. You can see the stainless steel sprint car steering wheel it is attached with a bicknell quick release like used in race cars. On Jan-03-12 at 21:19:15 PST, seller added the following information: I am trying to get pics of the interior for everyone who has asked me tomorrow I hope to get to the barn I store this in for the winters and get pics around 4:30pm New York time. I can say that it is not fancy just all black inside with a 5 inch stainless 4 spoke sprint car steering wheel with a Bicknell quick release so the wheel comes off. The top of the Ford trans is exposed and it is equiped with a brand new chrome swan neck shifter and a 36 Ford V8 logo shift knob. The seat is not mount in the cab yet because it is a 31 Model A Ford coupe seat and I wasn't sure as to if I really was going to use it or not. but it is black rolled and pleated their is a headliner in the truck that is black also . The dash is a nid 60;s VW bug dash that has been smoothed and the gauges are out of a 60's is Dodge truck but look ver Auburnish. The speedo is not hooked up at the momentn niether is the water temp or gas gauge. The Gas gauge iis not hooked up due to the fact there is no way to do it. The tank is in the bed of the truck and i just always checked it with a yard stick. This truck is a Hot Rod not a show car it is bare bones bad ass. I have driven it back and for to numerous shows and even raced it at the Syracuse fairgrounds two years in a row. It is killing me to even sell it. So please don't mess around. This is in as is condition and I will require a deposit of $200 in paypal within 24 hours end of auction. This will be a non refunded deposit to cover ebay fees and time wasted if you should jerk me around. Thanks and I hope you understand these terms. On Jan-04-12 at 13:49:40 PST, seller added the following information: I added the pics of the interior like I said nothing special The rest of the seat is still in the wood coupe frame. I have been driving this around with just the bottom seat for the past two years. There is a headliner for it as well as the window regulators and tracks. There is a drivers side door panel for it to. I also took a pic of the underneath. This pic of the truck is where it is being stored for the winter. Thanks On Jan-29-12 at 10:54:28 PST, seller added the following information: I want to let everyone know this truck is a NY registered vehicle and is currently on the road in my nasme. So it does have clean paper work and is running and driving.
