Mercedes-Benz W463 series 3 door Gelaendewagen with RARE factory 5 SPEED! Full DOT and EPA papers. Imported and marketed by Mercedes-Benz Europa. Currently registered and smogged in the State of California. Full documentation, original manuals and full service records from the past 8 years are included. I understand there are only three stick shift model W463 2 door G wagens with full documentation in the USA. Of those, this would be the only one with the sliding rear window option. It is a rare bird and in exceptional condition with 5,000 miles on a factory new 5 speed transmission and 1,000 miles on a freshly rebuilt motor. This is a classic 3.0 liter straight six model - the famous Mercedes workhorse with fabulous torque (NOT G320, G500, G55 or G550.) It's model year is 1991 (300GE) which the eBay software will not accept with the correct vehicle ID number I have entered above. This car is rust free. This 463 series in short wheel base features 2 position sunroof and the exceptionally rare sliding rear windows. The body is straight as an arrow and free of rust. This car has been pampered from day one and looks and drives great. Includes Europa custom winch mount and narrow diamond plate running boards. Nice 3 door or convertible models that have been properly and legally imported are hard to find. This one is particularly desirable due to the extremely rare factory 5 speed transmission in a W463 series G. Gas mileage is between 14 and 18 MPG. This truck can climb over anything with it's 3 electronically controlled differentials. Suspension, axles and transfer case have all been serviced in recent years and are in top condition. When equipped with an automatic transmission a G-wagen is deprived of much of it's flexibility and effectiveness. This is the real deal with a tight turning radius and excellent visibility. Mechanically this vehicle is in excellent condition throughout. Just completed a full service that included new brakes all around and A/C rehab. The car steers straight, brakes straight, runs smooth and the A/C blows cold. Electronically controlled differentials engage flawlessly. This little truck drives great on the highway or off-road. Interior is leather with exception of the two front factory Recaro seats which I have been looking to reupholster or replace. Jump seats are factory leather. New rear seat belts are included in this sale but not installed. Factory Zebrano wood trim is in decent condition. Radio/CD is Mercedes-Benz/Becker and comes with a Mercedes-Benz/Alpine 6 CD changer. The car has been repainted only once due to fading and minor body dings. Some of the lamps and trim were updated at that time. This is the correct original GlasUrit bronze metallic which is a somewhat rare factory color for a G-wagen. This is NOT 'Desert Silver' but a darker shade which the Steyr/Puch factory in Graz, Austria lists as 'Pueblo.' Please email with any questions or to schedule an inspection. I will gladly help coordinate pick up and transport for out of state winning bidder. Just to clarify - this G-wagen was legally imported into the US and comes with full DOT and EPA papers. It can be registered in all 50 states including California. It has previously been registered in Florida and Nevada. There is NO issue regarding title or registration with this vehicle. It is the Euro vehicle ID that raises an inconsequential flag with the vehicle history reports.
