A very good customer has made a decision to exit the world of motorcycle travel and has brought his 1999 Honda Goldwing GL 1500 SE Aspencade 50th Anniversary Model and matching Bushtec trailer in for us to sell. The bike is absolutely cosmetically gorgeous. The miles showing are 18,404, the result of two cross country trips in the first couple of years after the bike was purchased. It has been garage store since then, started every month with a short ride occasionally. The hope was that another trip was up coming but even the best of plans go awry. The bike is the Aspencade 50th Anniversary Model celebrating Honda’s first 50 years of business. It came with all of the bells and whistles Honda offered in the GL line. The bike is equipped with an electric driven reverse drive along with the OHC 6 cylinder engine and shaft drive rear end. There is the full complement of electronics that include AM/FM Stereo with Cassette Deck and CB Radio. The suspension is adjustable for load and ride height from a control panel on the fairing. The bike is wired for an intercom system but the head sets are not included with the bike. The two saddle bags and trunk have removable liners that can be used to carry their contents in without having to unpack the hard bags each time. Tires look good, at least 80% of tread is left. The bike was serviced on a regular basis at a Honda Dealership and appears to have never had any impact damage or repair. It is beautiful. The images do not show it well enough. The Bushtec Trailer was the best trailer being sold at the time. It has an incredible frame and even runs Weld Racing Wheels. The trailer frame has room on the tongue for an ice chest which has a matching cover to the bra covering the front of the body. There is a separate mounting device which replaces the trailer hitch which holds the ice chest in the event the trailer is not being used. The interior has a high level of finish with pockets for storing small items in the sides. The lid has a built in Garment Bag! There is even an interior light in the back which works when the trailer is plugged. The finish is as nice as the Hondas with matching Black color. The invoice for the trailer when new was $4000. Ouch. The trailer is being sold together with the Goldwing and is not available for sale seperately in case you were wondering (thanks for understanding). We try to offer clean vehicles honestly and to see some loon strapping a bike to the side of a van with bald tires breaks my heart. I can assist the shippers, but that will have to be ordered and paid for by the winning bidder. We cannot accept personal checks.
