Vehicle Detail
I am listing my prized, very hard to find Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT (convertible). While a popular car, finding one this pristine, babied, and adult owned condition is not the easiest thing......and finding one one like mine with only 66xxx original miles on a 10 year old winter stored roadster even more so!!!! Car is now parked for the winter, same as is was last year, and as you can see, for a 10 year old car, she has low miles. As I understand it, she has never seen road salt. I personally feel after looking at several of these Eclipse Spyder GT's this color combo (when viewed in person I looked at several before I bought) , is one of the better looking ones. it's more an 'off white' with tan top and interior. This is the 5 speed.....I looked hard to find one, I would buy nothing but a 5 speed and ignored any auto's, as after much research the "shiftable" automatics, while they sound good in theory, word is you cannot get the RPM up anywhere toward the red line if you want to get the most from your car. And a bonus...it's a great, easy to use, and FUN to drive stick shift. The V6 gets about 25mpg anytime, and is smooth and a JOY to drive. That is very close to the same MPG as the econo stripped down 'GS' model, which is just a 4 cylinder. These V6 motors leave the factory with power similar and on par of the older DSM turbos, yet get about the same gas mileage. And if your the type so inclined, while I kept mine stock there are also plenty of fun aftermarket parts out there for you to buy, if your one of those that like to tinker: from height lowering, hi performance suspensions, engine mods, brake mods, halo and LED front light, etc, etc. If you like You tube, there are many videos showcasing many the 00 to 02 Eclipse's being modded, like the one used in the movie "Fast and Furious" Car is LOADED: power windows, power mirrors, power seat, power top, power antenna, air, tilt, cruise, key-less entry remote, anti theft, all tan leather inside, premium Infinity sound with 5 dics cd and cassette player both, etc etc etc. I trust this car COMPLETELY: I would drive this car back home to anywhere in the USA with no worries at all. One of the last rides I made before parking for the year was from Michigan to South Carolina, then a few days later on back to Michigan. Included is the factory alloy 17" rims with Goodyear GT tires (nothing special, so-so but I do have a set), however as you can see the car has Enkei 18" Evo rims on it now, which I prefer . Other than that, it is all stock. Again, the $1400 in rims go with the car as shown (the only non original part on it), but you get a set of factory alloys also, both sets As you can see, my asking price is about what others have sold here on ebay with 120,000 miles any beyond.... but again..... you are buying one with mileage just in the 60's!!! And, these have very good drive train, I have seen many 2000-2002 Eclipses with the V6 motor with well over 200k miles, there is no reason with how this car has been pampered you can't expect the same Clean, straight title While I am aware that I am selling this car at at the 'off time' of year for a convertible in much of the US , finding another one this clean (that's good inside and out...no rips, tears, clean dash, no weird dash board lights on, etc) is not an easy thing to do a good opportunity for the right buyer who is a fan of these. If you are buying as a year round car, the 2 sets of rims could come in rather handy and the heat (as well as the air conditioner) work perfectly I am an older person who bought this just as a summer car, and while I expect a buyer to need to inspect the car, NO joy rides through the salty roads. It is clean and parked for the year, and if I suspect you want to drive the car just for a thrill ride, I reserve the right to refuse. On the other hand, it IS for sale, and so any legitimate buyer may do whats needed to feel comfortable including driving but I need assurances you are serious It's not totally perfect, but very close, and it is about what you could expect from any car with miles in the 60k range....no dash cracks, no seat tears, no rust holes, no dents. The only thing I can say is my gut says it may need brakes pads somewhat soon (its not bad, but I get the vibe) and while the trunk opens, the lever inside the car doesn't pull it open, you have to use the key. I never looked at it, so I assume its a cable pull adjustment. There are 5 speakers to the Infinity sound, one of them (the center dash) has a rattle, I did buy another speaker but never put it in, I will include it for you. There is some minor scratches in the back bumper right in the middle as well, I don't know if it was backed into a shopping cart or what have you, but it is something that I would assume can be touched up yourself or while you wait somewhere. .I truly think this is all nickel and dime, if it wasn't January I'd just take care of them. On the other hand, I need to do the auction 'as is' for the crazy car people out there. No offence, but I've sold a few cars on ebay before, and car people can be VERY fussy. This is a very good, no excuses example of one of the cooler cars on the road, for this price point, I'd say there isn't much better you can do for yourself. Cheap to feed, cheap to take care of, and lots of looks on the road. Worked out very well for me as there was even the little back seat for my dog! it took me awhile to settle on this car, and this model year (I had rented the new Eclipse Spyder....I wasn't really a fan) I request a $500 deposit within 5 days of auctions end, and the car paid in full by cash or cashiers check within 10 days of auctions end You won't be disappointed. Check my feedback, car really is a nice one
