This is a unique opportunity to own a beautiful, rare, ground up restoration of a 1988 BMW M5; This vehicle had an extensive engine overhaul at 185,000 miles including replacement of pistons, rings, valves, clutch, and more with over $13K spent.The engine runs strong and the high gas mileage of this beefy six is an added luxury. At 215,000 miles the car was placed with a high end Atlanta body shop for total restoration. The bumpers and glass were removed and the entire body sanded down in order to paint 10 coats of high gloss and clear coat on the frame. Windshield and door seals were replace and 3 piece BBS wheel powder coated black with new BMW wheel caps; over $15K spent. More recent replacements include entire front end--ball joints-grommets-control arms-upper and lower-, new tires, headers, battery, custom dual exhaust system, catalytic converter, all exhaust hangers replaced, new fuel injectors, oxygen sensor, master cylinders for brakes and clutch, rear end seal replaced and oil change; front brake pads, valves, adjusted less than 1500 miles ago. Also new sunroof seal/service and new Pioneer CD player with remote; recent rebuilt drive shaft, fuse box replacement/rewiring. The interior is beautiful with reconditioned leather and refurbished center consol. German Motortech in Atlanta replaced all hoses, belts, ignition wires, installed Bilstein shocks, thermostat, water pump, rotors and calipers, and like new A/C unit and evaporator system, power steering pump, pulse generator, high pressure fuel lines, battery cable. Receipts available showing over $7K spent. Recently upgrade include a new hood grill, radiator, and fenders. Records available dating back to 80K miles. Always garaged.
