Vehicle Detail
I have a real solid 1968 Chevy Shortbox SWB, Has a AC cab and the frame is setup from a 1971 chevy shortbox. It has 5 bolt wheel pattern 5x5 chevy bolt pattern. There is disc brakes up front and it has a 12 bolt rearend with drum brakes. The truck is a solid southern truck that was a running driving truck. Was getting restored and the owner passed away unexpected. Has some rust in pass rocker(see pics) and it has a small hole in floorboard on drivers floor under the gas pedal. Besides that the only rust is a little surface from where it was sanded. Im in the middle of redoing another car and getting rid of some projects i have not beenable to get to. The frame and box,cab are in great shape. The body is real solid and straight, I could have done a day worth of sanding and just sprayed it with some satin black paint but I didnt want to cover it up on how solid this is. This trucks body is solid and could easliy be turned into show truck or very nice rat rod. Some trucks are to far along to make a nice truck so thats why there turned into ratrods, THIS TRUCK is in good shape and worth putting a good paint job on. I have all the marker lights and trim pieaces except for all the side chrome trim. I wasnt going to put that back on. Truck was origanally orange and was repainted orange at one point. They always called this truck the Heinz 57! I have the front inner fenderwells and they are solid and in great shape. I was thinking of lowering the truck and running bigger tires so thats why they were puled out. Truck has drive shaft and everything there except the motor and tranny, radiator. I do have a really nice bench seat for the truck if you would rather have that then the bucket seats. The console is not in the truck anymore and is gone. Tires are over 50% and rims are nice ralley's. The box has been tubbed in the back to fit bigger tires. i think it was widened about 6 to 8 inches. Box is just sitting on there so it will come off to help you get it finished. The front grille is super straight and in good shape. Its hard to find straight good 67 to 68 grilles. Glass is in good shape and windows roll up and down easliy. Truck rolls great and would be easy to load to haul where ever you need it to go to. if you have questions feel free to call me 712 260 7567 Todd
