They have not been serviced, detailed, or prettied up for retail sale. In order for me to offer them to you on no-reserve auction pricing, I cannot restore them to retail quality. I drive every one of my sale vehicles and write a thorough description including the good and bad of the vehicle. Please understand that these are used vehicles, they WILL have the wear and tear associated with age and mileage. Please read the full description. An appointment MUST be made before coming to look at or test drive the vehicle. Up for auction with a low reserve is a 1998 Toyota 4Runner SUV. This spacious mid-size SUV is powered by a 190 hp 3.4L V6 (5VZ-FE), automatic transmission, and four wheel drive. This is the same drive line as the Toyota Tacoma pickup. The V6 starts up and idles smoothly and provides plenty of power on the road. The automatic transmission shifts as it should and the selectable four wheel drive with low range engages properly. The suspension is rugged and truck-like. The 4Runner sits high to provided excellent ground clearance, but it never feels like it is leaning or rolling under normal driving conditions. The ABS brakes are strong and stop straight, but a vibration under braking suggests there is a slightly warped rotor. This Toyota was given an alignment and front suspension check-up. It drives straight and does not clunk or wobble. The catalytic converter and 02 (oxygen) sensors were replaced as well. The black paint on the 4Runner is in decent shape. It has small nicks, chips, and scratches, especially around the door handles, consistent with age and general use. Unlike many of the older 4Runners, this truck does NOT have large rust bubbles around the fenders. There is a wrinkle in the drivers door (see pics) that looks like the door was kicked or bumped against something. All the glass and lights are in good condition, not cracked or broken. The factory alloy wheels are in good condition, but they are discolored from age. The wheels are wrapped in nearly new Uniroyal Laredo tires with deep aggressive light truck/SUV all season tread. The tan cloth interior shows use, but not abuse. There are stains and discolorations consistent with usual use The driver's seat has a tear on the lower bolster. The other seats are in good shape, not torn or ripped. The headliner is not sagging. The passenger rear seatbelt does not retract. It appears to be stuck in the fully out position. The power windows, locks, and mirrors all work correctly. This SUV has had a premium aftermarket sound system in the past. It appears that some or most of it has been removed. There is an aftermarket CD player in the dash, and it appears to work, but there is no sound and evidence of missing amplifiers and wiring. The heater and works quite well. This vehicle is equipped with A/C, but it is to cold to test it. The Toyota 4Runner is one of the most capable, dependable, sought after SUVs.
