I drive every one of my sale vehicles and write a thorough description including the good and bad of the vehicle. An appointment MUST be made before coming to look at or test drive the vehicle. Up for No Reserve Auction is a 1996 Chevy Monte Carlo LS with only 123k miles! This Monte Carlo is powered by a well running V6 and smooth shifting automatic transmission. This V6 cruises effortlessly around town and on the highway. The suspension is soft and comfortable. It does not shake or pull, but does have some rear bushing noise over heavy bumps. The ABS brakes stop straight and do not make noise. The exterior of this coupe is painted Sherwood Green Metallic. The paint is overall in very good shape for the age. It does have some blemishes, most notably a spot on the roof where the clear coat has peeled (see pics), a common problem for vehicles of this age but not as bad as most. Also, there are spots behind both rear wheels that have begun to bubble (see pics). The hood, the most common place for bad paint and chips, is in excellent condition. The 16" alloy wheels, an option on the LS package, are in good condition. They have all four center caps and do not have any major damage (see pics). The wheels are wrapped in Bridgestone Turanza LST all season radials up front and Goodyear Eagle GA all season radials in the back. All the tires have deep tread and plenty of life left. The passenger headlight lens has a crack, but none of the lens is missing and it is not noticeable without close inspection. The grey cloth interior is in better than average shape for the age and mileage. This Monte Carlo has the optional bucket seat interior with front and rear bucket seats, center console, and floor mount shifter. The power driver's seat is the only one that shows significant wear. The fabric is tearing along the bolster (see pics). All the other seats are in good condition. The grey carpet has only light stains, with most of the wear and discoloration on the driver's floorboard as would be expected. The headliner has some damage. There is a tear by the driver's visor, and a small sagging spot in the rear. The rear shelf between the rear seats and the rear window is discolored and the fabric is damaged (see pics). The power windows and mirrors work as the should. The power locks with keyless remote work excellently and the remote has a strong battery. The factory Delco AM/FM CD player has decent sound quality. The steering wheel mounted radio controls work properly. The dual zone heater works well in all positions and fan speeds. You may notice that the rear view mirror is missing in the pictures. It is undamaged and in the car. It will be re-installed by the time the sale is complete. This car runs and drives like a low mileage Monte Carlo should and it has only a few cosmetic flaws. I don't think you'll see another Monte Carlo of this age with such low miles or running as well.
