We are pleased to offer this Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang GT Convertible with Aqua and White Pony interior. This great car is loaded with many desirable options such as: GT Equipment Group Cruise-O-Matic transmission Pony Interior Power Steering Power Convertible Top Air Conditioning Full length console AM Radio Remote operated mirror Emergency flasher DATA PLATE: 76B 5 67 11S 35 1 6 VIN: 5F08A724117 CONDITION: As can be seen in the pictures this Mustang is in fantastic condition. The restoration of the car was obviously comprehensive and professionally done. There are no pictures or receipts from the restoration but it is obvious no expense was spared. The paint has excellent gloss and is a beautiful color especially in sunlight. Unfortunately we don’t have an abundance of sun here in Ohio this time of year but I did manage to get two pictures in full sun which shows how great the color is. If I had to nit-pick the exterior there are a few paint prep flaws visible under strong fluorescent light and a few touched up paint chips. The hood is a very subtle shade darker but this only shows under certain lighting. All of these details will not be noticeable to most casual observers. The chrome is exceptional. The engine and trunk areas are super-nice. Underneath the car has been fully restored and the pictures illustrate this nicely. The optional Pony interior really makes the car stand out. It is virtually as-new except the carpet has a few areas of slight discoloration in the front foot wells which can be seen in the pictures. Convertible top is excellent with no rips or tears and the rear window is clear. It has a few wrinkles from being stored down but these will probably come out with exposure to sun/heat. Tires have plenty of tread but are old. Mechanically the car is in perfect order. It has just been fully inspected and serviced by Layland Motors which is one of the best classic and exotic service shops in the area. Please see http://laylandmotors.com for information about them. Everything was reported to be in working order including the gauges, lights, wipers, horn, heat, A/C, power top and even the radio! The fluids have been changed, brakes flushed and adjusted, engine tuned and front end aligned. HISTORY: This car has been owned by a local Ford enthusiast who enjoyed his collection of fine Mustangs, T-Birds, Shelby’s and other rare cars. He bought the Mustang in the early 90’s after it had been restored and it has been driven sparingly since then. The car has been kept in his HUGE garage full of cars, tools and collectible automotive memorabilia. Unfortunately the owner has passed away and his family has asked us to sell this wonderful car on their behalf.
