Vehicle Detail

Hello, I’m selling a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe. It's a total project car, that has had a great deal of work and money invested already, but will require a lot more work to get it road worthy. Heres a list of what has been done to it so far: Removed 302 V8, and swapped it out with a low milage 460 Big Block engine. Installed a rebuilt custom high performance C4 transmission designed to mate with the 460 engine and was rated by the shop to be able to take up to 500 horsepower and 500 foot pounds of torque. Installed brand new Griffin four core high performance radiator. Relocated the car battery to the trunk. Removed front drum brakes, replaced them with disc brakes. Converted the car to rack and pinion steering. installed power steering pump. Installed sway bar for added support for the larger engine. Removed manual radiator fan and replaced it with electronic high flow fan. Stripped the original vinyl top. Stripped the exterior of all original paint and bondo, then coated it with primer. Removed passenger seat, rear bench seat, floor carpeting, dash panel cluster, dash top, radio, seat belts, etc (and moved the parts to storage boxes). Removed interior door panels (front and rear set), door handles, knobs, etc (also moved to storage boxes) Mounted a high performance dual exhaust system. (It is been mounted, but still requires the actual welding before it can be driven).Replaced stock rims with centerline alloy rims.Replaced stock hood with after market hood. All interior components were removed to begin preparation of floor panel replacement (rusty), and to sand and paint interior metal surfaces. To the best of my ability 4-5 years ago, all of the parts were all placed in side of crates/boxes in my garage . Bolts, clips, nuts, etc were placed inside of baggies and kept together with the components they were designed for, to try and avoid separation or getting lost all together. However, please note: It was nearly 5 years ago when I started gutting the interior. Although I made every effort to keep all the parts together and in storage crates, there is still a chance some bolts, nuts, clips, etc may be missing. I believe that most if not all of them are there, but I can't make any promises that all of them are there. The winner of the auction will get all the crates/boxes of mustang parts I have in my garage (see photo) which includes removed seats, door panels, door knobs, etc. It all comes with the car. CONDITION OF CAR EXTERIOR: This car is a project car, that will require a lot of work to finish. On the exterior, as mentioned above, I began the body work process a few years ago by stripping the entire car down to bare metal to remove all original paint, bondo and rust that I could. I then applied a few thick coats of strong primer once cleaned. However, there are many areas of rust that will need attention. The passenger side door has a great deal of rust, the upper section of the drivers side and passenger side quarter panels, where the window and quarter panels meet, have some major rust in the weather sealing area that has rusted through and will need to to be cut out and patched. The passenger side has a dent (see photo) over the rear wheel well. It was there before I got the car, so i don't know what caused it. Both rear sections of the car have the what looks like repairs from long ago done to them. CONDITION OF CAR INTERIOR: Currently the interior is still in the condition above. The entire dash (Gauge cluster, dash pad, glove box, etc) have been removed and placed in boxes along with the fasteners, etc. The floor carpet was removed and thrown away. The passenger side seat, and rear bucket were removed and also placed in storage (will come with the car of course). The door panels, arm rests, knobs, etc were also removed, and placed in boxes. Only the steering wheel, gas pedal, break, and drivers seat were left. So that the car could be moved around while being worked on. As I said above, I should have the majority of parts that were removed packed in boxes, but theres always a chance something got lost. So it's sold as is. MECHANICAL CONDITION OF CAR: The majority of work and money up to this point have all been invested in the mechanical side. As my goal originally was to get it running, stopping, etc good first. Then worry about the cosmetic stuff later. The original 289 V8 was removed, and it was replaced with a low milage Big Block 460. In order to not have to made any modifications to the transmission housing, I decided to pay a custom transmission shop to make a nice rebuilt C4 high performance transmission to mate with the 460. As of now, literally the transmission has less than maybe a mile or two on it. (It's been driven out of the house and around the block, only once since putting it in and getting it hooked up). It's literally like new. A new griffin 4 core radiator was installed, as well as a battery relocation kit to make more space in the engine compartment. A modified pulley/belt setup was used, to accommodate the larger engine and power steering pump. And the steering was converted to a rack and pinion setup that cost me a small fortune. While I was down there, I also replaced the front drum brakes with disc brakes. There is also a dual exhaust system that is mounted up and spot welded to hold it in place under the car. But it still requires a wield to seal it up tight before it can be driven on the road. The car runs good and can idle without issue.. Getting it started the first time however is a bit tricky because the 4-bbl carburetor on it requires a rebuild and possibly rejecting . But yes it does run and idles great and already has the throttle linkage and what not all hooked up. With that being said, even though it engine runs and it runs fairly decent, it is far from street worthy at this point. The seat belts would need to be reinstalled, the brakes would need to be bled, calibrated and adjusted, It would also need a new battery as the one currently no longer holds a charge for long. BUYER REQUIREMENTS:- This car is only for sale to residents living in the United States. - Buyer is responsible for picking the car up locally OR for arranging a way to have the car shipped to them. I will not handle the shipping personally. - If the buyer has no feedback, then it's up to the buyer to contact me before bidding. If you bid without contacting me, and have zero feedback, you will be blocked from the auction.- 500.00 down is due at the end of the auction, and then the buyer has five days to pay the rest before the car gets offered to the next highest bidder. Lastly, if you have questions please contact me before bidding. Also, if you live in the area, and would like to see the car in person, that is also ok.
