For sale 1978 toyota fj40 parts car or fixer upper . First off there is no title for the truck i bought it with the intentions of making a trail rig out of her but that dream is on hold due to new baby . The good .... The frame is solid , transmission and transfer case seem fine , all glass is there minus one side on topper and windshield is cracked , front floors are good ,ambulance doors are nice . The bad ....rear tub is in bad shape , wheels are usable but not the best , tires are old , rear sill is all but gone , The motor . Some one adapted a chevy straight 6 inline 250 in to this truck . I was told it ran well when i got home i found that was not the case . I did a compression check and found 2 bad cylinders . I pulled the head and the bores are not oversized so it could be re ringed but to do it right i would go ahead and bore it out to the first oversize . The head comes with the truck and is in useable shape . It has a factory remanufactured holley carb , remanufactures distributer and new coil , remaned alternator . The drive train is the stock toyota 4 speed with an adapter plate to mount the chevy to it . I am sure i forgot a bunch so feel free to ask as many questions as you want . This will need to be put on a trailer i was told it would not fit a dolly
