It was never fully restored, but it is a very strong, and nicely kept daily driver. This past week end we drove arround town in it and this car is a real Head Turner Soft Top Only . Hard Top is missing Was repainted back in May 2004 . At that time the original White color (paint code 050G) was replaced by this beautiful signal red. The paint still has a very nice shine and luster however there is some paint bubling by the front right fender. The fenders are original. Structurally this Mercedes is in good condition for its age, and its body is straight. There is some light rust on the driver's side floor boards and also in the rear end by the exhaust, but rest of the car is very nice and solid (please see pictures). Soft top was replaced in 2004 and is in excellent condition. All the Glass is original. All chrome is shiny and bright without any rust or holes The Tan interior looks elegant. Wood around front windshield is complete, and in good condition. The carpet was repalced a few years ago and is in good condition except for some small stain spot . The seat covers are original and have no tears or rips. Over the last 7 years there has been over $12,000 invested (receipts provided) into maintenance of this car, and to keep it running like a top. Both the Engine and transmission were rebuilt in November 2005 Fuel injected straight 6 cylinder engine starts right up, and has no problems of developing high speeds. Transmission shifts through all gears easily and effortlessly. A few weeks ago the Fuel pump was rebuilt. Freshly Serviced 4 Michelin tires were recently purchased.
