This car was found a few years ago in a barn in the Palmdale, Ca area. It had been there for over 40 years. The car is a '27 Ford T Roadster with a shortened truck bed welded to the body, and has a 32 grille shell that is channeled. The truck is all steel except for the tailgate which is early fiberglass. I believe this car was hot rodded in the early 1960's. The paint is candy orange over gold metal flake with lacquer clear that is cracking everywhere. There is old pinstriping on the headlights. The interior is original except for the cloth insert which I had replaced with vintage material. The frame is a 1930 model A with suicide front end. The axle is a chromed, dropped I beam. It has a 1940's banjo rear end with a Culver City magnesium Halibrand quick change. The motor is a 1950's 324 Olds with an Edlebrook 3 duece manifold and 3 97's with a Mooneyes air scoop, Offenhauser valve covers and breathers. The headers are custom made. It has old Stewart Warner gauges with a Faria tach. The steering wheel is an old gold metal flake moon wheel. The transmission is a Muncie 4 speed with chrome hydraulic clutch and brake master cylinders. The shifter is also a Muncie. The rear wheels are 5 spoke magnesium Americans with old white wall slicks. The fronts are 12 spoke magnesium Americans that are marked San Francisco, with old Firestone ribbed tires. This car runs, shifts and drives great although it needs be re-wired. It recently took second place at the Primer Nationals in Ventura! This is a very cool Hot Rod and a piece of unrestored history!
