Vehicle Detail
Best Father and Son or Winter Project car possible. This is a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback model. The car is in very good to excellent shape with an awful lot of work already done to it. Definite "drive while you restore" candidate. At present the car only really needs some clean-up of the wiring in the engine compartment and a new paint job to complete. The best part about this car is the incredible condition underneath. You Mopar folks know how often we see nice cars only to look underneath to find a box of surprises. Good bodymen know how to hide lazy repairs to make the car seem better than it really is. Then the unsuspecting buyer has to do some other repairs and puts the car on the lift and low and behold your project suddenly hits a standstill because the bottom half of the car is a mess. Well not here!! This car has perfect inner feners, No Rust front frame rails, No Rust floor pan (front or back), No Rust trunk pan, No Rust trunk extensions and No Rust rear framerails. If you have had to do this on another Mopar at one point in time you will appreciate not needing to do it here. Since you won't have to order any metal parts and pay a lot of money to the body man (excluding all of you who do your own work) thousands of dollars are saved and can be applied elsewhere. But where? The car has had the following done to it already: 360 Crate Motor from Jegs, Edelbrock Aluminum Performer RPM heads and Air Gap Manifold, 6AL MSD Ignition w/adjustable rev limiter, Billet MSD distributor, 750 cfm w/four corner adjustable idle (may need expert tuning), New TCI 727 Torqueflight trans with reverse valve body installed along with engine (less than 750 miles on both), Custom Built Aluminum Driveshaft, Rebuilt 8 1/4 rear end w/Richmond Gears 3.81, Headers, Mufflers that dump right before the rear axle, Alternator, New Plugs & Wires, B & M Shifter, New Wiring, Torsion Bars, Shocks, Front Bushings, Dynamat Under Carpet, New Carpet, New Racing Buckets up front with adjustable distance set up for 5 point harness (easily returned to stock), Re-upholstered backseat to match front buckets as close as possible (minor tear up top; easy repair). Has passenger side view mirror and bumperettes-no other options. What I know it needs: Needs headliner (original material included but bows are missing), Could use door panels, Rear fastback panels are painted black and can use a re-paint, body has small dings but nothing major and can easily be straightened out. The car does not have power steering or power brakes (drum all the way around). Dash was redone with aftermarket gauges but original gauges are included. The car would need a fine tuning of the carb, wiring could use some detail work, door panels, and paint. It runs very strong and needs no help in that department. Car was originally a V8 car and light beige in color with gold interior. It was painted white along the way and the paint has lost some of its luster, but shines up good after a wax. I hate to sell but really need the money. This is a used car. It has been slightly modified from it's original configuration with aftermarket upgrades. There is no warranty expressed, written or implied. It is being sold in as-is condition. It has a clear transferable title. Depending on your location I might be able to transport the car for $1.25 per loaded mile, otherwise I will assist in loading the car and/or accomodating pick-up of car on my end but I will not be hiring a transporter. Thank you for looking at my auction. Good luck to all who bid. Please remember that listing cost money and I have very little of it so be serious in your bids. Please ask questions I will answer to the best of my ability. I have a new job and I am in Miami (East Coast) so keep in mind that all questions will be answered after 5 pm eastern and a few might be answered earlier if work permits. I have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. I have more pictures and will update the listing as we go forward but if you need pictures just send me your e-mail address and I will send them.
