Up for sale is my dad's 2001 Legacy Outback limited. He bought it new from the dealer and it's been his daily driver ever since. NOTE: Recently it spun a rod bearing and the motor is toast. It will run but it's definitely going to need a new bottom end and should be towed. Otherwise it's in decent overall condition. It' has around 313K on it (my dad is in sales and put a lot of highway miles on it) but its always been serviced at our local Subaru dealer and was pretty up to date on service before the engine went. He really loves this car but since he's on the road constantly he needs to get into another car right away. The Good: Tires have a good amount of tread still on them (could go for another 20-30K miles)Brand new catalytic converterKN FilterNew brakes within the last 10K miles (had a caliper replaced too)No CEL codesValid NJ inspection until 10/2013 The Not So Good: Has typical rust around the rear arches The speedo only partially illuminatesThe larger moonroof doesn't go back all the wayA nice dent from a shopping cart on the passenger's rear quarter (can be seen in photos)Needs a long block Realistically someone whose mechanically inclined can probably pick up a used 2.5L cheap and have this car back on the road in no time. It would be the perfect winter car. He's still in the process of taking things off. The Yakima roof rack, sirius satellite stuff, and rubber subaru mats he's taking.
