Very unique opportunity to own one of the best 928s's in the WORLD, for a fraction of the restoration cost. This Shark was bought from the original owner who was in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Once it arrived at my house I found it's cosmetic condition well below what was advertised, yet mechanically and overall it was excellent. So I had a decision to make, sell it or do something probably insane. I went with insane. I immediately headed to my body and paint guy and moved forward, so there goes $9,000.00 to do it right. Then came all the trim, new front and back glass, front and rear spoilers(front was from 928 International, but the rear was actually found in a Porsche parts dept in Germany gathering dust, it was ONLY 750.00 dollars), I spent approximately 6-7 thousand on all those little bits. Then came the mechanics. I use a shop locally that is amazing, they went through everything, if it needed addressing it was done, down to new shocks and even re-taping all of the ABS Harness, which is impossible to find new, but guess what, a NEW one in the box comes with the car in case the original every fails, that was only $500.00 to have on hand. The mechanics bill came to over $9000.00, but the car is basically new condition. The last step was to complete my insane plot with the interior. I spent almost $12000.00 with Robert Budd , renowned 928 interior craftsman. Every surface you can think of is covered in leather, in 1998 Cashmere. The dash is just amazingly beautiful. The car currently comes with an ORIGINAL 930S wheel for the 928, it also has a completed refurbished original wheel in Cashmere leather , so you have your choice of what to use. Wheel Enhancement provided perfect chromed slotted wheels for the project. It took me approximately 2 years to complete and was featured in Excellence Magazine in a glorious spread. Of course a story board of the feature and extra copies of the magazine come with the car. The hinges on the center console box are broken, just FYI. Also there are a set of brand new Robert Budd PASCHA seats and door inserts available at an additional cost, the motors will have to be transfered to the Pascha seats from the orginal seats. I have approximately 47000.00 in this project since it's inception with all the parts, labor, and maintenance.
