Vehicle Detail
Here is a 1995 Chevy Beretta Z26, 125K on the chassis and 94K on the engine. Mechanically sound and meticulously maintained, excellent running Beretta. K&N style air intake. Brand new fuel pump and rear brakes. We swapped engines in April '08 and at that time replaced the radiator, ps rack, drive axles and motor mount with a polyurethane insert for added support. Oil changes every 3k with Rotella T6 synthetic oil and engine does not burn any. Transmission shifts are smooth and crisp, no delay or slipping. Topped with Dex VI trans fluid. The ignition operates with the key and the starter is activated by a pushbutton. The body is dark purple. The Z26 package includes a ground effects kit all around, sportier suspension and specially designed front seats. Certain panels have been repainted including front right fender, right rear quarter, trunk and spoiler. The roof requires refinishing as seen in the pic since the clear coat in the rear left corner is peeling off. The rear bumper also requires some light bodywork and paint in a few places but the rest of the body is sound with no rust and has never been in an accident to my knowledge. Recently, the front windshield cracked and has not been replaced so that is something the new owner will need to take care of. Tires are good with lots of tread left. The interior needs tlc! Headliner needs changing and the lid for the center console is missing. There is a small tear in the vinyl on the dash. Seats all around are in good condition with a small tear in the driver seat that does not affect anything. Other than that everything is there except a stereo. The rear seats and panels were removed recently in preparation for tint but can be put back before the next person takes ownership, just lmk. This Beretta will come with the original 3100 sfi engine and trans still attached. The engine is complete with all accessories but it did spin a bearing. I'm giving some Beretta lover out there a good deal since you will have spare parts for anything mechanically that could go wrong. As one can tell lots of cash has been thrown at this car and at this point the car just has cosmetic issues that need to be addressed to make it perfect. These are hard to find nowadays and I have never seen another dark purple Beretta on the road. These cars have a real classic look that even by today's standards still fits in, and this one turns heads. I would keep it but with six cars and a move in the near future, I am forced to downsize. I will accept cash on pickup OR payment by paypal within 24 hrs. Local pickup in Las Vegas or we can discuss delivery to the socal area if you cover the cost of gas. I have described the vehicle to the best of my knowledge but please ask all questions ahead of time. All sales final and vehicle is sold as is. I reserve the right to end this auction early since it is for sale locally as well. **please email me for more pics *** in answer to a few questions concerning the spare engine/trans you may opt out of taking it but the finale sale price remains the same, if I were you i'd take the engine! it only has 108k, is a good rebuild candidate and the trans is good too. On Jan-03-12 at 21:16:11 PST, seller added the following information: ****Just a quick comment but please do read the description since everything I can think of concerning the vehicle is stated there and I have tried my best to answer all so sorry if I missed yours. In answer to a few questions from some beretta ppl who hit me up... if your's lacks power test your coils (there are three in a pack on top of the engine toward the firewall) AND fuel pressure since a sluggish fuel pump may still work. Other than the icm taking a dump on occasion, maintain these cars and they run like the energizer bunny. These cars are quick and scrappy off the line so as long as the engine has good compression the car should have adequate power. Like I said in the description, I have 6 cars and this one is by far the very best daily driver of the bunch, unbelievably good on gas and one of the most reliable cars I've owned. The reason for the engine swap was that the previous owner ran it low on oil and coolant, so I bought it knowing it needed a new engine. The very next day the car was scheduled to be picked up by a parts yard so yea it was a rescue. It would still be going strong with the original engine if properly maintained. Thanks for the interest and happy bidding.
