89 Jetta for sale. Has the 1.6l Diesel non-turbo. Gets around 45mpg city driving. Working heat and AC, new tires, new rear wheel bearings, new timing belt, new water pump and thermostat, new heater core, new radiator and new fuel filter. Starts and runs easily which is a sign of good compression and injector function. This could make someone a really great daily driver. The odometer shows 882k and does not work. Anyone familiar with these second generation Jettas would know the odometers can stop and start again or the gear can slide down the shaft and start rotating the 10's 100's or 1000's place on the odometer instead of the 1's. I believe this is the case with this vehicle as I would doubt one with that mileage would run this well and the interior would be far more worn than it is. I'm thinking the mileage is actually somewhere around 200k just compared to some of the other VW's i own.
