Up for sale is my father's truck. It's a 1988 Nissan Pick-Up D21 model. We bought it about 6 years ago as an extra vehicle to haul around stuff to and from home depot. It's actually been one of the most reliable vehicles we've ever had. In that time we've serviced it pretty regularly and attended to many of the issues it had. When we bought it initially it had a good amount of rust which we addressed this past summer. The truck got a "new" bed off another truck which had no rust (but was quite a bit dented which you can see in the photos). We also replaced the front fenders which were rusted, welded parts of the frame that had some rust, replaced the muffler, and had the truck repainted the original color. It's a pretty rare truck, most of the models I've seen don't have an automatic gear selector on the column or are the factory "golden brown" color. This one also never had air conditioning which even by 1988 was kind of an oddity. The truck also has a valid NJ inspection through august of 2012 and in 2013 it will be eligible to be registered as a classic vehicle. It does however still have a few issues to be addressed: When you step on the brakes the reverse lights pop on (which is most likely a loose connection in the taillights). There's an exhaust leak which we haven't tracked downWhen you step on the gas at wide open throttle the truck sputters (feels as though water is in the tank, we haven't gotten the chance to take it to a mechanic to inspect)It needs a new radio antennaThe exterior door handle on the passenger side is broken (easy fix) All and all it's a nice RWD 4-cyl truck that gets pretty good mileage and is fun to bop around town in. It's bare bones basic transportation but we've enjoyed our ownership of it over the last few years and hopefully you will too. We're located in central NJ just north of princeton, zip 08502.
