I am a Pennsylvania used car dealer and I offer vehicles to the public at wholesale prices on eBay. The vehicles I sell on eBay are mostly trade-ins from local new car dealerships and other dealers in the York, PA area. I get these vehicles "as-traded". They have not been serviced, detailed, or prettied up for retail sale. In order for me to offer them to you on no-reserve auction pricing, I cannot restore them to retail quality. I drive every one of my sale vehicles and write a thorough description including the good and bad of the vehicle. Please understand that these are used vehicles, they WILL have the wear and tear associated with age and mileage. Please read the full description. Up for sale is a beautiful 2001 BMW 740iL full size luxury sedan. The 7 series is BMW's flagship vehicle and it gets every bit of luxury and refinement that they could fit in one car. 2001 was the last year of the e38 model 740i and the most desirable. This sedan is powered by BMW's 4.4L V8 and 5 speed automatic transmission. The aluminum V8 features variable valve timing allowing the engine to produce 282 hp and 325 lb/ft of torque with a wide, smooth power band. The engine in this 740iL starts up smoothly, runs well, and provides plenty of power. There is some of the usual BMW chain noise, but it is not bad and does not effect performance. The automatic transmission shifts butter smooth and effortlessly. The suspension is tight, yet comfortable. There are no shakes, pulls, or clunks. The suspension lets this big sedan handle like a car half its size. The ABS brakes are very strong. This vehicle is equipped with DSC traction control. There are no check engine lights or faults aside from the tire pressure warning because of the replacement wheels. The "Anthrazit Metallic" dark grey paint is in average condition for a high end luxury car of this age and mileage. There are small rock chips on the hood and a small 3" scrape on the driver's door below the belt trim. (see pics) There is no paint fade or peeling. The glass and lights are all in good condition, not cracked or broken. The "M" style 18" alloy wheels are in good shape, not scratched up or curbed and are a nice upgrade from the original 7 series rim. The front tires are Pirelli P Zero Nero with deep tread. The rears are BFGoodrich G-Force T/A with about half life left. The supple leather interior is gray and in very good condition. The driver's seat has some small scratches on the bolster from the seatbelt rubbing. The leather on the center console is worn from elbow contact. The other seats do not show any damage. The seats are heated, front and rear, and the front seats are power. The grey carpet has some staining from use (see pics). The headliner is in like new condition and does not sag. All the cup holders, ash trays, cubbies, and pockets are in proper working order and most do no look like they've ever been used. This car is equipped with the widescreen navigation unit/premium stereo. The almost 6" wide, multifunction display screen is clear and does not have any dead spots or discoloration. The nav program is fully functional (I have tested it with several destinations in the central/eastern PA area that I am familiar with). The premium stereo sounds excellent and has AM/FM, cassette and CD changer. The power windows, power locks, keyless entry, alarm, power mirrors, and sunroof all work properly. The dual zone climate control allows you to keep one side of the car warmer than the other and automatic temperature control keeps the interior at a predetermined temperature. The xenon headlights light the road ahead amazingly without blinding oncoming drivers. This car is equipped with the cold weather package: heated leather seats (front and rear), heated steering wheel (the greatest idea ever!), heated mirrors, and rear defroster. It is also equipped with the hot weather package: automatic climate control, sun screens, power rear sunshade, auxiliary cooling. I have personally driven this car for over 300 miles including a trip to Philadelphia, trips to Harrisburg, and many short trips around York. If I wasn't in the business of selling cars, I would be tempted to keep this car. The vehicles I sell on eBay are mostly trade-ins from local new car dealerships and other dealers in the York, PA area. I get these vehicles "as-traded". They have not been serviced, detailed, or prettied up for retail sale. In order for me to offer them to you on no-reserve auction pricing, I cannot restore them to retail quality. I drive every one of my sale vehicles and write a thorough description including the good and bad of the vehicle. Please understand that these are used vehicles, they WILL have the wear and tear associated with age and mileage.

Up for sale is a beautiful 2001 BMW 740iL full size luxury sedan. The 7 series is BMW's flagship vehicle and it gets every bit of luxury and refinement that they could fit in one car. 2001 was the last year of the e38 model 740i and the most desirable.
This sedan is powered by BMW's 4.4L V8 and 5 speed automatic transmission. The aluminum V8 features variable valve timing allowing the engine to produce 282 hp and 325 lb/ft of torque with a wide, smooth power band. The engine in this 740iL starts up smoothly, runs well, and provides plenty of power. There is some of the usual BMW chain noise, but it is not bad and does not effect performance. The automatic transmission shifts butter smooth and effortlessly. The suspension is tight, yet comfortable. There are no shakes, pulls, or clunks. The suspension lets this big sedan handle like a car half its size. The ABS brakes are very strong. This vehicle is equipped with DSC traction control. There are no check engine lights or faults aside from the tire pressure warning because of the replacement wheels.
The "Anthrazit Metallic" dark grey paint is in average condition for a high end luxury car of this age and mileage. There are small rock chips on the hood and a small 3" scrape on the driver's door below the belt trim. (see pics) There is no paint fade or peeling. The glass and lights are all in good condition, not cracked or broken. The "M" style 18" alloy wheels are in good shape, not scratched up or curbed and are a nice upgrade from the original 7 series rim. The front tires are Pirelli P Zero Nero with deep tread. The rears are BFGoodrich G-Force T/A with about half life left.
The supple leather interior is gray and in very good condition. The driver's seat has some small scratches on the bolster from the seatbelt rubbing. The leather on the center console is worn from elbow contact. The other seats do not show any damage. The seats are heated, front and rear, and the front seats are power. The grey carpet has some staining from use (see pics). The headliner is in like new condition and does not sag. All the cup holders, ash trays, cubbies, and pockets are in proper working order and most do no look like they've ever been used.
This car is equipped with the widescreen navigation unit/premium stereo. The almost 6" wide, multifunction display screen is clear and does not have any dead spots or discoloration. The nav program is fully functional (I have tested it with several destinations in the central/eastern PA area that I am familiar with). The premium stereo sounds excellent and has AM/FM, cassette and CD changer.
The power windows, power locks, keyless entry, alarm, power mirrors, and sunroof all work properly. The dual zone climate control allows you to keep one side of the car warmer than the other and automatic temperature control keeps the interior at a predetermined temperature. The xenon headlights light the road ahead amazingly without blinding oncoming drivers.
This car is equipped with the cold weather package: heated leather seats (front and rear), heated steering wheel (the greatest idea ever!), heated mirrors, and rear defroster. It is also equipped with the hot weather package: automatic climate control, sun screens, power rear sunshade, auxiliary cooling.
I have personally driven this car for over 300 miles including a trip to Philadelphia, trips to Harrisburg, and many short trips around York. If I wasn't in the business of selling cars, I would be tempted to keep this car. It is a beautiful, comfortable car that is effortless to drive.

A $150 Deposit via PayPal is required within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Other arrangements can be made, but they must be approved within 24 hours of the end of the auction.
Full payment is required within 7 days of end of auction. Please contact me to make payment arrangements. No vehicle will be released without full payment. All checks or money orders must clear my bank and be available for withdrawl before the vehicle will be released.
All payments must be made in $US.
PayPal is NOT accepted as a method for final payment. This includes "Bill Me Later".
Vehicles must be picked up within 14 days. After this date, a $20/day storage fee will be imposed. Any vehicle left more than 31 days may be considered abandoned.
Fee and Tax Information:
It will be the buyers responsibility to pay and and all taxes, title fees, registration fees, and any other fees owed to your state.
A $150 admin/doc fee will be added to the final bid price of all auctions.
30-Day Temporary tags (a.k.a In transit or Transport) can be obtained from the State of PA for out of state buyers at your expense. Ask about requirements and restrictions. I do NOT issue these tags, they are obtained from the State, I can only assist you.
