Vehicle Detail

I purchased this car ( #880/1000 ) in Florida from Keydiver of DSMChips.com for $6,000 as a driver. It was one of the cleanest VR-4's I had ever seen. At that time all conceivable maintenance had been done and all problem areas on the car had been fully addressed as well as numerous upgrades made. I drove it daily for 6 months in Florida while I lived there before driving it 2300 miles back home to South Dakota. There was never a single mechanical issue with the car in the time I owned it until on a very hot day several months after relocating to SD one of the small coolant lines to the throttle body split while I was driving on the interstate. The car lost its coolant before I noticed it was overheating and warped the cylinder head. I pulled the cylinder head, had it milled and reinstalled it, but due to poor machine work it had to be removed again almost immediately. Before a new head could be sourced life took over and I have just never gotten back to this car. It is an absolutely immaculate shell and will make someone an amazing car, but it has been sitting outside for three years and as such that someone obviously isn't me. This car has many, many upgrades, all with less than 10-12,000 miles on them. I will list what I remember for sure. Dave Brode front mount intercooler and piping, 2.5" mandrel bent downtube and exhause, Galant VR-4 specific lowering springs and shocks, TRE-built (with upgrades) transmission, extrude honed fully functional JDM cyclone intake manifold, '93 clear headlights, 16" alloy wheels, Evo8 mass air installed in factory air can, Evo8 injectors. The car also had a large number of maintenance items done including brakes, basically the entire suspension and steering and the driveline was rebuilt. Apart from one or two small dings the car is straight as an arrow and the paint is pretty good, it is just very dirty having been sitting for 3 years. The interior is also very clean, with one tear in the rear seat, visible in one of the photos. The leather is starting to harden but will definitely come back with a little TLC. Title is clear and in hand. Again, this is an amazing shell and I am sad that I won't be the one to put her back on the road, but if it sits for another year or two it will take more than a motor and a little elbow grease to bring her back to life. Thanks for looking and I am happy to answer any questions. An ebayer sent these photos of the car just before I received it in January 2006, http://www.galantvr4.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB10&Number=292199
