Vehicle Detail
Mechanically excellent 3/4 Ton 1962 Dodge W200 Power Wagon with original 318 Polysphere V8 and 4 Speed manual running through a divorced New Process 420 transfer case with a Dana 44 in the front and a Dana 60 in the rear running 4.10 gears. This truck is totally stock and original from a running gear standpoint and runs and drives great. We just drove it on a 350 mile trip and it performed exceptionally well. It has new spoke rims equipped with new vintage style 7.50 - 16 Mud and Snow tires with drums all around. It also has a new battery and a newer alternator. With running gear this solid, this Power Wagon makes a great daily driver. And it has no PS or PB which makes it about as simple as they come from a repair and maintenance perspective. When you drive it, it's very difficult to tell that it lacks PS or PB. It's only mechanical weakness is a gasket leak between the block and the intake manifold that the previous owner repaired with sealer (see pics). The fix holds so I haven't messed with it. The interior is very pure aside from an older cassette deck in the dash and a CB radio. It still has the headliner with a gun rack to boot. The bench seat still has the original upholstery for the most part (see pics). If it has any flaws, they're in the body. They are all very repairable or you can drive it as is as I've done. The previous owner cut away a portion of the bed so he could load and unload his camper without removing the heater (see pics). And the floors and rockers need work. This is all very easy stuff. In my dry and desert climate (if I were to keep it), all I would do is patch the floors and call it good. It's easy because the floor panels are flat. I also have a bunch of additional pics that show everything in great detail. Please send me your email address and I will send them to you. This is a great truck that has excellent, original, running gear. That's clearly what differentiates it from most other Power Wagons that have long since been modified. The body issues are typical and easily addressed. I'm located in St. George, UT (about 100 miles north of Las Vegas). Please call me anytime with your questions. Thanks for your interest. On Dec-11-11 at 15:51:33 PST, seller added the following information: My bad... the 4 Speed Manual Transmission is a New Process 420 and the Transfer Case is the bullet proof and legendary gear driven New Process 205. And it also has a brand new exhaust system. Thanks again for your interest.
