Vehicle Detail
I have up for sale my heavily modified 1992 Ford Explorer XLT. Check out my Cardomain page for a ton of pictures of the build and more details on some of the work. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3239807/1992-ford-explorer Major work that has been done since I've owned it includes: Full width axles (Dana 44 up front, Ford 9 inch rear end) Locked rear end (Lock-Right) Yukon 5.13 gears 35" Super Swamper Boggers with about 60% tread left Transmission rebuild (4 speed auto with overdrive) F150 disk brakes up front BDS Shocks SkyJacker Steering Stablilizer Custom shackles Rough Country AAL Custom drive shafts Warn hubs Class III hitch (front and rear) K&N air filter Interior is in pretty decent shape, no big rips or tears The truck has some other modifications done as well such as an in dash DVD player with integrated iPod connection. It also has quick disconnects for the wiring in the front doors which can be removed. It's an older truck and it does have a couple of issues: **Full Disclosure, the pictures I've posted were taken right after the build and don't show some of the scrapes and dents that the truck now has, but all cleaned up it will look pretty close to this again The valve covers leak. It's not too bad, maybe half a quart every two months The front passenger door handle is broken One of the rear window motors needs to be replaced It has minor trail scars, a couple of dents that could easily be popped out I'm selling it because I don't have time to wheel anymore and would rather have the spot in my driveway open. Although the truck is not currently registered, I have had it on the road since the work has been done and it actually goes pretty well on the street. At this point, I think it would be best suited as a trail vehicle, but depending on your state laws, it could be registered and driven on the road again. I have the reserve set very low, lower than the cost of the axles and tires alone so it could easily be used as a parts vehicle as well. $500 deposit via PayPal is due within 48 hours of the auction ending. Feel free to email me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
