The 2003 Aviator's closest competitors include the Acura MDX, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the Volvo XC90. Upon introduction, the 4x2 Luxury is equipped with a standard 4.6-liter, V8, 302-horsepower engine that achieves 13-mpg in the city and 19-mpg on the highway. The AWD Premium is equipped with a standard 4.6-liter, V8, 302-horsepower engine that achieves 13-mpg in the city and 18-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. This vehicle runs great on the highway but it does have one issue. There is a symbol lighted on the dashboard so I got a computer diagnostic on it. It said the 8th cyclinder is misfiring. So it has a slight shimmy when idle. Other than that I have had no problems. Because of that light being lite up I may not pass emissions. I have been told to fix it you may be looking at 900-1500. If you win the vehicle I can put you in touch with a gentlemen who claims he could take care of it. I on the other hand have my eye on another vehicle so trying to sell this one... As shown in the pic's it does have some small nicks and a scratch in the front but no tears in the seats. It has a DVD player to help entertain the kids on a long trip. Seat have memory to last drivers settings. The heated seats will help in the winter. Stereo is awesome. Really comfortable and fun to drive.
