This Willys was painstakingly restored to its original conditon...no modifications whatsoever. This vehicle has spent most of its life in California (this was a CA Black Plate Car) and was an excellent candidate for restoration due to its rust free condition.During the restoration, the truck was completely disassembled and taken off the frame (See pics). The frame was blasted and powdercoated while the rest of the suspension components were either replaced or refurbished to like new condition. The brakes and brake lines are brand new, as are the shocks and fuel lines.The tub was also taken down to bare metal and treated to a $5K paint job...there are no runs, bubbles or dirt in the paint. The paint shines in the sun and is amazing! The wheels were painted the same color as the body and extra care was taken to apply the white paint to the Willys body panel stamps. Brand new tires and full sized spare were also added...the tires still have the nubs on them!The original motor was completely rebuilt and painted. Original components such as the air cleaner and oil filter were sourced and installed. The starter was replaced, as was the rest of the ignition and electrical system. The radiator was replaced and the rest of the cooling system was gone through.In the interior of the truck, the original gauges were refurbished to working order. The heater was completely restored and repainted...it works!! The seats were filled with new padding and recovered with original looking material. This Willys Jeep looks the way it did when it left the factory! Do not mistake this one for a backyard restoration job...you will not be disappointed when you see this one in person! Every nut and bolt on this truck is new and as a result, it is as nice or nicer than when it was on the showroom floor! This truck is solid and can be driven anywhere. You are bidding on a fresh frame off restoration of a 1953 Willys Jeep. This Willys was painstakingly restored to its original conditon...no modifications whatsoever. This vehicle has spent most of its life in California (this was a CA Black Plate Car) and was an excellent candidate for restoration due to its rust free condition.
During the restoration, the truck was completely disassembled and taken off the frame (See pics). The frame was blasted and powdercoated while the rest of the suspension components were either replaced or refurbished to like new condition.
