Vehicle Detail

Up for sale here is a 1967 Pontiac Firebird, this was the very first year pontiac made the Firebird. In 1967, Pontiac produced 67,032 firebirds. Only 17,664 were made with their 6 cylinder overhead cam 3.8 liter. Now even rarer was this one with an Automatic transmission... only 5,597 were made. Out of the 5,597, how many were equipped exactly like mine? I don't have the answer to that question but it is very interesting at the least. And how many are still in existence? This car is like a time capsule, its 44 years old and is in its ORIGINAL condition right down to the floor mats ordered in 1967 at a cost of $6.11. I am sorry did I for get to mention I have the ORIGINAL window sticker? Pretty cool, also I have the original owners manual as well. The mileage on this car is ORIGINAL with 63,549 I have proof and I have a clean Florida title with the mileage on it. This car has only had 2 owners, The first bought it in 1967 and keep it until April 1996, when it was traded back to the original selling dealer. The second owner purchased it on April 8th, 1996 with 61761 miles on it. I have the odometer disclosure statement for proof. This car has only had 1788 miles put on her in the past 15 years. It has been garaged its entire life and has NEVER been smoked in.I have 2 sets of ORIGINAL keys from selling dealer.Let me start by saying the only thing I could find that does not work is the push button AM radio. It was an option in 1967 at a cost of $61.09, as was the clock at a cost of $15.80.With that being said, this car is soooo cool. Its powered with a 3.8 liter over head cam 6 cylinder 230 CID putting out an amazing 165 horse power. This motor purrs, no smoking, no knocking it sounds like a sewing machine. The transmission is a super smooth automatic, 2 speed power glide and it shifts perfect. It was an option at a cost of $ 184.31 Thats so funny... I don't think you can service a transmission today for that kind of money. The steering is power, so you can drive her with one finger.I have had this car on a lift and have inspected it closely. The floors are perfect along with every thing else under there. All the body panels are original, in fact I could not see any over spray any where and I believe all the paint is ORIGINAL.The only thing that looks like it was replaced were the shocks, the tail pipe, and the muffler. Even the front part of the exhaust looks ORIGINAL.I have never seen a 44 year old car with this much originality. All of the body lines are perfect, all the glass is excellent condition, windows rollup perfect. Lights all work as they should, horn blows, dome light works. This car has not been tampered with or anything changed to compromise its originality...It may not be a V8, but nobody has beat the ---- out of it either. This would make a great candidate for a Big Block, 4 speed. But I personally would never destroy it like that. All I will say is try and find another one like this.I would get in this car and drive it ANYWHERE.In todays market, people buy cars and ship them all over the world without ever coming to see them. I would love to show this car to anyone. Just call me and I will pick you up from any local airport. No need to pay a shipper... drive this baby home.If you cant make the trip I will help you in any way I can working with shippers to make this a pleasurable experience. I have to sell it as is because of the year, but if you send me a deposit if when you get here you don't love it , don't worry I will refund your deposit. You wont be disappointed...I am sure I have left something out so please email me @ snappy69@live.com or call me at 941-740-2651. My name is Kevin.I have listed 24 photos hoping to capture everything, if you need a specific photo please ask.In the trunk photos that is NOT rust on the sides, it is factory undercoating, in fact you can also see it in the underneath photos. Please DO NOT bid unless you are planning to send me a deposit, and purchase the car. And please do not ask me my reserve, this is an auction.I reserve the right to end auction early at any time, due to the fact that I have it listed locally.Deposit is due through paypal within 24 hours of end of auction, balance due within 7 days. Wire transfer is the easiest and fastest, but Bank checks or cash are ok as well. Car will not leave until all funds have cleared my account...GOOD LUCK BIDDING.
