1972 Honda CB

This is my 1972 Honda CB500 four. This is a great looking and running vintage bike. It starts right up and purrs right along. I didn't get to use it very much this year due to health problems. It has been needing a new battery since spring, but I used the kick starter and it started on the first couple of kicks every time. The bike has been stored inside during winters and is kept covered in the driveway during the summer. It has a "Vetter" cowling and windshield (but the original light bucket is still intact) and electronic ignition. The tires have very little mileage on them but are showing sings of dry rot show should probably be replaced (I only drive around town). The inside of the gas tank has been epoxied but it kind of looks a moonscape, it allows no rust, just looks a little strange when you look in the tank. It also has a scrape on the gas tank (see photos) and the right cover over the battery was broken but repaired (again, see photos). This would be a great bike to drive as is, or make a cafe racer out of it. The bike has a transferable NY registration. I wouldn't mind keeping it, but my son is trying to restore a VW bus and I am hoping to sell this in order to buy him some engine parts for Christmas. Any questions, please let me know.
