Vehicle Detail

1983 Mercedes-Benz 240D W123 Rare 4-Speed Manual Diesel. The last production year for this model. White, with Palomino Interior. Power Windows, Power Steering, A/C (r134a) and Sunroof. Excellent Heat. Original Bundt Alloy Rims. 30+ MPG City, 35+ MPG HWY. This is a daily driver. 28 year old utilitarian transportation--- highly efficient and safe. Outstanding station car, perfect for point A to point B travel. Runs like a Swiss watch. Would drive to Alaska and back, as is, with no hesitation. Excellent compression. Approximately 250,000 miles currently. Good for at least another 250K. This is the world famous Mercedes-Benz "million mile" 2.4 liter 4 cylinder 67HP diesel engine. Slow, but extremely reliable and efficient. Record for this make and model is 2,800,000 original miles on a european taxi. Palomino MB-Tex seats are in amazing condition. No rips or tears. Dash has only two minor very small cracks. Clean/Clear Florida Title in hand. Tires and brakes are good (well over 50% life remains). Balance and alignment good. All fluids changed. Original Owner's Manual, MB parts book and Haynes manual included. Full sized spare with bundt rim and original jack. Block heater. Original MB tool kit. Original medical box and kit. Nice spare parts kit included too. $15,000+ parts and labor into this car in the last 7 years. Love this car, and only selling because I am moving overseas. Owned as a daily driver for the last three years. Previous owner had the windows professionally tinted dark, coverted the A/C to r134a, replaced timing chain, replaced brake master cylinder and brake booster, replaced both rear axles, replaced both front rotors, pads and calipers, replaced the worn igintion tumbler and housing. All this done within the last 15K miles. A short time before that, the floor boards were replaced too. In the three years I have owned the car, I have done the following: replaced all filters and fluids regularly. Replaced the window brushes and the rear window seal. Replaced the washer pump, gromet, check valve, spray nosels and wiper blades. Replaced both engine mounts and the anti-vibration T-mount. New hood pad. Replaced both front upper control arms and bushings. Replaced both lower control arm bushings. Replaced both tie rods, the steering damper and both ball joints. Replaced all three drive belts. Replaced radiator, thermostat, hoses and clamps. Replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders. Replaced both headlight doors with Bosch factory new. Replaced all fuses with ceramic. Replaced ice cube relays. Changed oil pan gasket and oil plug. Replaced all four (4) shocks with Monroe. New battery tray. Brand New Bosch Battery. Replaced Alternator. New air filter. Changed power steering filter. New shift lever bushings. New front and rear bumper rubber with all new mounting brackets. Replaced sunshade clips with new. New horn. Commercial grade rubber floor mats over the carpet. New AM/FM cassette deck with built in internal antenna. Ipod adapter. Diesel purge and valve adjustment done last year. Passed my mechanics recent safety and compression inspection. Spare parts kit included: New water pump and gasket, set of three (3) new drive belts. Set of four (4) brake hoses. Primary fuel filter. Headlight, set of new ceramic fuses and new replacement bulbs for all the bulbs on the car! Two (2) gallon diesel fuel emergency container. Front license bracket and many more misc. clips and parts. Original MB tools: jack, lug, reversable screwdriver, three (3) metric wrenches and pliers. The car looks classy and nice, but it will need a paint job eventually. WHAT DOES NOT WORK: Cruise Control Power Antenna Dashboard Clock Vacuum Door Locks Passenger Side Rear Window Front Brake Pad Wear Sensors Odometer (pot metal gear shaft worn) OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITY! GREAT POTENTIAL FOR VEGGIE OIL CONVERSION! LOVINGLY MAINTAINED AND DRIVEN BY MERCEDES-BENZ ENTHUSIASTS! THIS IS NOT A SHOW CAR, BUT RATHER SAFE AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION WITH STYLE. "AS IS" FLORIDA SALE: NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
