This gorgeous Mercedes wagon has only had 2 owners since new . The first owner bought it in 1984 and garaged / pampered this car until April 2010 when he passed away . There are only 148k well maintained miles on this car , which is very low for any 27 year old car  and especially low for a Mercedes diesel of this vintage . This car needs nothing . Everything works very well and is in great shape . This car has always been garaged and maintained to the highest standards and it shows . Here is a list of things re-done just within the last 18 months :  - new front shocks  - complete "E" service - valve adjustment  - new power antenna  -new shock for the rear hatch - new tires - new Alpine stereo and speakers with an input for the iPod or iPhone ( the original radio also works well and is available )  - new ball joints  - new clips for the sun visors  - new glow plugs - new transmission vacuum valve  - New air conditioning compressor ( the AC has been converted and works perfectly blowing ice cold ) - one new from window regulator - new brake hoses  - new sway bar links - new battery - new fuel lines  - new booster lines All work was done at OC Benz in Costa Mesa and they also have the records for it . The whole car was totally gone through , replacing anything showing wear , just to be on the safe side .  This must be the cleanest and best driving 300TD wagon i have seen since the 80'ies . It was finished in "light ivory" ( MB color code 623 ) with palomino color MB-Tex interior .The body and the paint are gorgeous and there is no rust or dents at all . There are very minor rock chips below the front hood , which are hard to notice . The paint shines almost like new . All the chrome is in great shape . All of the seals and weatherstripping look like new . The interior is super clean . The original dashboard is perfect .( no cracks of any kind ) The seats are wonderful , without any rips, tears or discoloration . The still feel firm and new . The carpets are clean and even the wood panels are stunning . Headliner and door panels are perfect . Even the sun-visors are like new and the lights are working properly . The car was just fully detailed and i can not find anything wrong with it at all .  But the best thing about it is the way it drives . It has lots of power and the transmission shifts effortless and smooth . There are no strange noises of any kind . There is no clunking or jerking like on a lot of older cars . This is how these cars must have felt in 1984 . Everything is working on it , all the windows , the power door locks , all the instruments , the climate control with AC blowing ice cold and the heater working the way it should and the radio with the power antenna . The iPod connector is a nice and practical touch . You really have to see this car to believe it . I would prefer to sell it to somebody local , but i would also be helpful with shipping or a airport pickup . Shipping charges would have to be paid by the buyer .
