Vehicle Detail
Triumph 1973 TR6 Roadster This car was running good and strong, slight weakness in the second gear syncros when I stopped using it. It will make quite a restoration project for someone with ambition or to use it for parts. The engine, transmission and rear end should be good. The bumpers with riser bars are in good shape and hard to come by, as well as the fenders, doors, hood and trunk. It has a Franz oil filter and additional oil cooler. I have most of the parts of the original car, except the instrument panel gauges and convertible top. The five hole aluminum rims give the car a neat unique racy look. They have a 2 inch offset and are 4 inches wider (I think) than the original wheels giving the car a much more stable ride, and great handling. I moved it outside under a tarp and injected oil through the carburetors and left it. A small tree fell on top of the car and bent the factory hard top but didn’t break any glass or bend anything else. The windows were removed so some rain got inside. When I pulled the car out from were it was, the two back tires and one front tire were frozen. I suspect rusted brakes. The pictures show much of the rust in and on the car. The original mileage is 88K. The winner of this auction will need to make all of the arrangements to have the car loaded and transported to your location. I have added pictures that show the damage on the factory hardtop in more detail. Also I added pictures that show the front and rear of the car and the bumpers with riser bars. Note the California plates. I did not install the Virginia plates I have because I began the restoration process that was delayed and never really started. Local pickups – Cash Only On Dec-15-11 at 12:48:18 PST, seller added the following information: In response to the email I have taken extra pictures of the underside of the car showing some of the rust. I found that the drivers side floor board has holes in it as it is rusted through. Also the passenger side door is difficult to open as the hinges are rusted. I did not force it open. Hope this helps.
