Welcome. Thanks for taking the time to view our listing . Up for auction is this nice restorable 1946 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup . This would be a great restoration project or hot rod or rat rod project. Truck is in above average condition and was well taken care of . This truck was last registered in 1982 and has a clear and current 2011 title . Truck is titled as a 1947 because it was produced in the later part of 1946. Vin number on ID tag matches vin number on title . our ebay listing title also says 1941 for a keyword because 1941 - 1946 chevy trucks are very similar in style. This truck is a 1946. The cab is in great shape ! Doors are solid & open and close nicely and the cab has very little rust . Front cab corners have a few small bubbles starting to show through which is very normal for the age. This truck has a really neat patina to it. It would be hard to find a nicer original truck to start with. we are unsure of the exact mileage of this truck but it appears to be a low mileage truck based on the condition and originality of it . The 216 engine was pulled out in the 80's but was never put back in. The truck does not have an engine block . Included is the air cleaner, tranny ( we believe it is a 3 speed ) , engine side pans , starter pedal , clutch pedal , filler tube ect . everything we have for the engine is shown laying on the piece of plywood. if your going to restore this truck original and drive it a 235 engine would be a better choice. You can also buy a rebuilt 216 engine for less that it would cost you to rebuild one most of the time . Window Glass is old and needs to be replaced . This truck is a great candidate for a restoration. Front fenders have a few typical indents and welds but are very workable . Rear fenders have a few small rust holes on the upper bracket mount where some dirt got trapped but are still workable and very solid and restorable. Bed looks great for its age. Front bed panel does have some pitting on the lower lip edge but thats an easy fix. tailgate looks great . Old wood was removed from the bed so that you can see the great conditon of the bed supports and the frame and rear end . Original drive shaft is laying in the bed if you choose to use it . Tires are old and need to be replaced . only 1 tire holds air but the truck will roll off and on a trailer very easily the way it is now with a cumalong or winch. Front grille does have a few cracks on the thin connector bars and a few dings in the bars . if the grille was removed and the small indents were pounded out the grille would look much better . Lower grille valance panel needs to be replaced but those are readily available . Cab has an indent above rear window glass that needs to be smoothed out . Hood also has a few small indents on top panel . Hood opens and closes nicely . Interior Header panel trim has had the windshield wiper hole enlarged but the metal is still intact and can be pounded flat and fixed easily . Seats were recovered in the late 80's and the vinyl is showing some age. would be great for a daily driver seat as it is now. This truck is ready to be restored or customized .
