This Jetta was a home-built conversion project done with parts from EV America. I am the second owner of this Jetta. My commute is too long for this car - 30+ miles over hilly terrain where I have an employer that will not let me charge at work (liability reasons, they claim). If they would let me charge at work, I would keep the car. As it is, I have worn out the batteries over the time I have owned it and it will need new ones. Ideally, the person who is interested in this car should have a shorter commute (20 miles or so) over a fairly flat terrain. I have had it at speeds 55+ no problem. The car is older, so, it has the looks of an older car. The exterior is faded but dent free. The interior is in fair shape - there is a small tear in the headliner.. The lock on the trunk doesn't lock (nobody is going to run off with the heavy batteries). It has power windows and locks. The sun roof does NOT leak! It is a complete EV - here is a partial list of parts of interest (it is 144 volts): 0B1-4001A Advanced DC Motor (dual shaft) - C-7401 curtis controller - PB6 Curtis potbox - Albright contactors - adaptor plate - motor coupling - ZIVAN NG3 Charger - volt meter - amp meter - Vacuum pump (brakes) - Astrodyne SD350 DC to DC converter There is no AC or no heater. No power steering. Brakes use the vacuum pump. It has 12 T-1275 Trojan batteries. It also has another battery (not a Trojan) for the accessories. I am sorry to be selling it because there is nothing like plugging the car in at home in the evening and driving away with it again the next morning. It was fun to drive and pass the gas stations, for sure! The winning bidder will take care of all shipping (I will help to the best of my ability). I can't answer questions when I am working but after 1600 MST I will try to answer anything to the best of my abilities. Folks - this is a fully functional EV. It is an older car so the looks and feel of an older car should be expected.
