Up for sale is a truly well preserved numbers matching 1965 Chevy Impala Super Sport Sport Coupe with the 327 cubic inch small block V8 engine and powerglide transmission. This car is in amazing condition for the year. Please take the time to look at all the photos carefully. I even had the car put up on a lift to photo the undercarriage and show the fantastic condition of this car. I have also taken photos of all the documentation I have for the car. This is truly a rare opportunity to own a beautiful original example of a true 60's icon the Chevy Impala SS. The discriminating buyer is bidding on a vehicle which represents one of the most sought after items in the collector car market; an unrestored, low mileage, well optioned, garage fresh survivor with complete documentation. This car has been off the road and in clean dry wooden floor storage with no moisture at all since 1979 with the exception of the occasional start up and drive to keep everything operational. Even the 1979 Pennsylvania inspection sticker is on the windshield and shows 50925 miles on it, and the car currently has 51888 miles on it, so only an amazing 963 miles driven on the car in 33 years !! This Impala is bone stock original with ALL the original components, with the one exception of chrome valve covers installed by the previous owner, which happen to be the same style as the originals. The engine is the original 250 horsepower 327 V8 with the engine code on the flat boss T0715HC. The intake manifold # is 3866922. The engine still has the original heavy duty 55-amp delco alternator part # 1100694. The heavy duty alternator is for the working (yes I will repeat that -WORKING) FACTORY INSTALLED AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM. This car still has all four original working T-3 Headlights! The engine runs whisper quiet. It fires right up and runs perfectly smooth. You can barely hear it running. The transmission shifts perfectly smooth as well. The extensive list of options include; 327-250hp V8 engine, powerglide automatic transmission, 331 POSITRACTION 12-Bolt Rear, Power Steering, Power Brakes, POWER WINDOWS, Push button radio, Rear Antennae, Padded Dash, No Glare inside mirror, remote side view mirror, 2-speed wipers with washer, tinted glass, tilt steering wheel (the 2nd year offered by GM), seat belts, vinyl top, and WORKING FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING! These items are all listed on the original window sticker which I have to include with the car. Along with the original window sticker that I have for the car, I also have the original Fisher Body punch card, the original owners manual, the original folder showing original owners name and dealership where the car was sold new. Even the salesmans name is stamped and signed on the folder. I also have the original dealer brochure and accessory manual. The body appears to have had a repaint some time ago, and again it is rust free. Please refer to the lower bodyline photos of the car to see the lower fenders, quarters and doors. NO RUST. And again the undercarriage is also rust free due in part to being undercoated when the car was new. The interior is very nice and original. The padded dash is perfect original. The car is equipped with a complete set of gauges that are all working. The vacuum gauge also works. Radio, horn and lights all working. The clock in the console is not working. The only areas showing age are the driver's side carpet, package tray, and rear headliner panels on either side of the rear window. The front power windows work fine going up and down. The rear power windows do not work. The previous owner bypassed the heater core. This car obviously has never seen any foul weather of any kind and it may have just been bypassed for use only in the warm months. The exhaust appears to be original. It has been patched by the previous owner and it works fine. The tires on the car are very old bias ply tires from the late 60s or early 70s. They have good tread on them however they do have flat spots on them from sitting for so many years. The factory SS hubcaps are in great shape with no pitting or damage of any kind. This cars is turn key enjoy immediately. It runs drives and stops fine. It is truly a rare find in this amazing condition and would make a great addition to any collection. It is affordably priced with a reasonable reserve when you compare the other 65's available and their current state of condition. I welcome any prospective buyer to come preview the car in person.
