This version of the W107 is Ultra Rare in USA It is a 1978 Euro 280 SLC Super Licht Coupe Euro Trim Euro Bumpers Euro Headlights DOT legal components otherwise, as required at time of import, 1985. CARB certified for Gray Market registration in California Manual windows Cool Vintage Upholstery in overall good condition. Excellent power and efficiency with the 2.8 high compression twin cam motor This motor has lots of power from low rpm to mid, and then in high rpm it really kicks in a lot more torque and hustle, making it quite sporting to drive. It is also well balanced with the smaller displacement motor, where other SLs and SLCs tend to four wheel drift, this car points into the apex at the entry to the turn and enters turns with confidence holding and tracking well as you accelerate out of the apex. The car puts back thru the controls a great driver feel and level of feedback that is uncommon to Mercedes motorcars of this period and newer. It is nice to have a stripped down high line MB with the manual windows, climate control, and no sunroof, very rare Excellent ultra rare period color. The paint is the original color. Climate control functioning well. Rear seat in incredible condition, actually fits 3 kids, or 2 adults. There is a nice armrest in center of rear seat. Vintage original door panels and side panels, headliner all very good condition The mats shown in the photos are just mats, which protect the carpet below which is in very nice condition. Includes CD Stereo with functioning front and rear speakers. Rear speakers are aftermarket, not sure about fronts. Car runs and drives smooth, reliable, and very nice. Everything in this car seems to function when I tried it during my last outing in it. When I've started it, however, on colder mornings, it will have a lower idle than it should to maintain even idle while warming up. After a minute this goes away and it maintains correct idle. Not sure why, maybe warm up regulator? Vacuum Advance? Other than that the car drives, runs excellent. The car presents well, but not perfect... here are some areas in regards to cosmetics that we saw and want to share: The car's hood, and roof were repainted at some point in the 90s due to clear coat/fade issue from sun. Overall its a very nice reliable driving sports car with comfort and low entry cost. It also looks very sexy with the rare green color and euro bumpers and trim and lights.
