Vehicle Detail
This is a 1972 Porsche 911E coupe being sold with NO RESERVE. Very original and rare 72’ model with factory 911S options. Originally a European model (H1s, gauges, A piller VIN tag, interior buttons, and seatbelts). I bought this car from dry West Texas, where it stayed a majority of its life. Therefore, it has no rust, very solid. The front pan seems to have been replaced however it was done very proper. Floors look fantastic. Sills look great. Cosmetically, the paint looks immaculate, however not perfect. It was painted a few years ago with a glass-out paint job with new weather-stripping. The paint is probably an 7/8 out of 10, due to a few stone chips and some fish eyes, but overall looks fantastic. The car has never had a color change; original light ivory. Interior looks immaculate considering it’s age. The dash has a small crack. A new radio was installed and is compatible with Ipod/Iphone. Seats are in fantastic original condition. Headliner looks new with no rips or creases. Mechanically, the car runs and drives great. The one mechanical issue I would address is either rebuilding the MFI pump or tuning the throttle bodies, because under full throttle from 4-6k rpm she’ll stutter a little bit. I've heard this is quite normal when it's almost time for a pump rebuild or resetting the MFI. Otherwise, the engine runs fantastic. Idles great, no smoke; has the usual oil leak which I believe is coming from the oil drain cover at the bottom of the engine, as I dont see seepage coming from the case. The gearbox shifts like butter. In fact the previous owner installed a tight gate shifter which makes shifting incredible! Synchros are perfect. Clutch is new, so no issues there. Brake very well and straight. Has original aluminum 911S front calipers, front and rear 911S anti-roll bars. The suspension is very tight and firm. This car hugs the road incredibly well with good steering response. I just installed a brand new Momo prototipo steering wheel with the extended hub for greater steering. I also have the original steering wheel included. Also, a brand new Bursch exhaust was just installed; sounds wonderful! I have the original exhaust included should the new buyer want to change it back. The headliner looks great. Everything works on the car. I have a free and clear Texas title. Please feel free to ask me any questions. These original early 911s are becoming more rare to find so here’s you opportunity to buy a 72' 2.4E coupe! I can also help facilitate with shipping anywhere in the U.S. and Europe. Most importantly, I am listing this auction at NO RESERVE, so it WILL SELL!
