Vehicle Detail

PLEASE Read Desciption, See Pictures and Ask Questions before you bid. Description: Selling this for a friend. 1953 Cadillac Coupe De Ville 2 Door Hard Top. Rebuilt 331ci V8 with 0 miles, 4 Barrel Carburetor, Automatic Transmission, Dual Exhaust, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows. Odometer shows 21,482 original miles, which matches A Box Title. Body is very straight and appears to have original paint, which is gray in color. Hood has a minor crease on the top right side, which will need some body work. Has some minor rust in the quarter panels in front of rear wheels and on left front fender. Floor panels and trunk appear to be solid. Interior was reupholstered in the early 1980's and still looks good. All glass looks good, with the exception of passenger window, which is cracked. Most all chrome, bumpers, trim, etc., has been rechromed or replated in gold(where applicable). Comes with many NOS plastic parts, such as, tail light lenses, emblems, etc., and some originals come with it as well. Has original 6V generator and comes with an extra 12V generator and new 12V battery. Cadillac Shop Manual included. Water pump went out and engine overheated in the late 1990's causing issues with cylinder heads, which is the reason engine was rebuilt. Engine has never been fired since rebuild. Car is being sold 'AS IS', with no warranty expressed or implied. Car is available for local inspection and viewing in AZ zip code 85019. Following is some history from my friend. This is a 2nd owner Arizona car, family owned since 1955. There are some black and white photos of us kids standing next to the Caddy back on Christmas of 1955 and 1956. This was Grandma's car that she drove to the grocery store and church on Sunday. After her passing in 1977, it became my Dad's car with only 12,000 on it at the time. It was kept under a carport from 1956 thru 1990, then a garage from 1990 to present. Dad was in the process of restoring the car prior to his passing in 2010. The engine, transmission, fenders and hood have been installed since then. Bumpers were just put on for mock up. Car was last registered in 2003. Shipping arrangements and associated costs are the sole responsibilty of the buyer. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required by the winning bidder within 48 hours of auction end.
